Question: Questions on Christian Atheism!?
Completely hypothetical question, but if the idea of god was to one day be agreed upon by civilization to be a false idea do you think that we as a society would continue to live as a christian society and live by the morals and rules set forth by the bible, or do you believe that with the abandonment of god, the one thing that holds the christian ideal together, we as a society would come up with new rules and ethics to set forth a new ideal to live by!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Christian ideology and values are virtue and reason based!. All allegorical distortions of historical incidentals are purely subjective and liable to sceptical scrutiny and the ensuing confusion of intuitive reason and absence of evidence caused by lack of requisite spiritual insight!.

Morality, Liberty and Humanity the fundamental foundation stones of all civilised societies, without the implementation of, become chaotic bedlams of mayhem, disorder and ensuing dysfunction!. Morality is challenged by the very failed aspirants unable to reach its intellectual heights caused by the inability to shed sin nature!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it would turn Christianity into a philosophy that people read about and try to live their life by, the way many people do now with other philosophies!.

But I don't think society would come up with "new morals" because most morals (especially the 7 deadly sins and vices) in Christianity originated from Aristotle!. They worked before Christianity, they still work today, and they will still work tomorrow!. But many people may not understand how sin works, as many people don't understand it today, so more people might sin because they only restrain from sinning out of fear of a god, not because they understand how a sin can consume a person's life!.

Regardless, many "ethics" from the bible (outside of the 7 sins/vices morals) have already been changed since the bible days!. For example, it's no longer acceptable to beat your slave with a stick no wider than our thumb because it's no longer acceptable to have slaves, women are also now equal to men and not here just to serve men, and people are slowly accepting homosexuality!. So rules are constantly changing, and will continue to change in the future, and it will not be just because the Christian God was proved to be false, but because ethics are always changing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are shards of the past still lingering on in the society today!. Shards from other cultures and other religions and you have things such as Halloween and Easter that's well know and easy to pick up as examples!. Those who study Christianity closer will be able to tell you about how Christianity carries on ideas, rituals and morals from other religions within Christianity!. They are not dead and gone they are still living!.

If Christianity is discarded just as other myths before it then some parts will live on, some parts will be reshaped to fit the new ideology and much will fade and die!. Then people will build a new system based on the ideologies that's the most poplular after the first power struggle is over!.

Even in a atheist society there will be power strugle and "us against them" as atheists try to convinve others that their way of thinking is better than another atheist way or thinking!. While it's fully possible to build an atheist community it's really hard to have all persons in it agree on everything!. Just as it is in any community!.

I also think that many Christians will never accep that they have been wrong all along, and just as there are those who think that Elvis is still alive there will be those who insist on believing simply because they want to even though it defies logic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If we "abolish" God, we also abolish religion, don't we!?
If we abolish the Christian religion, we cannot live on as a Christian society!.

it's an interesting fact, that most religions agree on certain moral values, like the holiness of life, tolerance, holiness of matrimony, etc!.
so, without God and the different religions, we would probably create a new moral law, combining the moral rules of all religions!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

This would never happen, but if by chance (touche!?) it did we would probably not live by the Bibles morals, we don't even now!. A LOT, I mean, A LOT of people who claim to be Christian don't even follow the Bible's set of morals, what would be the chances of a nation of Atheist doing so!? Know what I mean!? I'm not saying, we'd be all insane, and moral-less, but morals would probably be just as subjective as they are now!. Another thing, even if an Atheistic state of mind was a universal consensus people would still find a way to divide themselves, guaranteed!. I think the only thing that would change is no one would talk about God!. The end!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

perception on religion had changed because of forgetting the very essence of it!. People had been drawn away from faith and thought that a mass is a show!.

No, i believe that that is not going to happen!. There are people who had experienced God and is living for God!. We base our faith not on history but what we have experienced in his presence!.

I hope everyone can open their hearts so that they may know what I had known!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

We could choose to live in accordance with the teachings of the Nazarene who walked the earth, without confusing those teachings with the distortions in the Bible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

living your life by the book is boring and foolish!. you know what that's called to the church!? control!. total and absolute control!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Religion did not invent morality!. They are just like politicians who find loopholes in the laws!. Without them both morality would improve!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you are true to yourself then you don't need God, religion or priests!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
