Question: Do you realize how unlikely it was that you would be born!?
You are here because your parents had sexual intercourse on a certain day at a certain time!. If they had done so 1 month earlier, you would not have been born because it would have been a different egg fertilized by a different sperm!.

Even on the day you were conceived, there was a fat chance that you would've been born!. Thousands of sperm are fighting to reach that ONE egg, and each sperm would have created a different person had it been the one to reach the egg!. So, a millisecond later or earlier and it could have been someone else that was genetically half you, but not you!.

Thus, we are all exceptions to the rule: that it's more likely you WON'T be born!. Do you agree or disagree!? Why or why not!? I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I refuse to subscribe to the naive logic that because I am here due to one out of a billion chance, I must be precious, very special!. There are still billions of others who too have come here on one out of a billion chance just like me!! To know that I am small and ordinary is important to be able to enjoy all the small and ordinary joys of life!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I believe that me being born into this world is not unlikely at all because I believe that God has a plan for all of us!. He planned me to be born and you to be born!. Sure, you have good points and they sound really convincing!. But I am sure that everything in this world happens for a reason - God's reason!. With God's reason, there's no such thing as an accident or unplanned or whatever you want to call it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i completely agree!. moreover it is so lucky that we can even be sitting here, typing and reading and thinking and being healthy!. the human body is so amazing and complex and underappreciated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I heard of a punch line recently which exactly answers your question
" U r a born winner!.!.!.!. It takes a winning Streak to beat couple of million sperms "!.So I think I was destined to be a winner :PWww@QuestionHome@Com

Ah, what a question that poses!.
Scientifically that is correct, most obviously!.
Regardless, genetics only goes to far!.
Circumstance defeats it hands down!.
So say, my mother and father were to have had sex a month later!.
I would be different genetically!. I would maybe look slightly different, ect!.
But from then, everything should be close to what is now!.
They would still be my parents, and, assuming I'd still be male, the same consequences would have followed through, to an (almost exact) way!. I would have been raised the same, fed the same, ect!.
So indeed, me, myself, wouldn't be here, but I have enough faith to know a guy who looks slightly different from me, maybe with some different experiences, would be sat here answering this very question in a similiar fashion, and, quite possibly describing me in a hypothetical sense, as if I did not exist!.
But, I do, and he does not!.
As is how the world works!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
