Your eyes, ears, nose, taste buds, are all clustered around the brain!. This is where we get the idea that we are "located" in our heads -- that's where all the reports from the outside world arrive! If your brain were located in your right foot, but all the sense organs were still where they are -- the situation would require unnecessarily complicated neuronal wiring but ignore that for a second -- don't you think you would still FEEL located in the head!? But our bodies are neutral, sensory organs to experience the physical world in a certain way!.
