Exposure!. Expose yourself to the thing you had feared & observe your reaction!. If only hidden it will rear it's head in another way!. Nothing is ever truly hidden, only redirected & disguised!.

I suffered from what I thought was a fear of crowds for 38 years!. I went to a hypnotherapist for a completely unrelated reason but when he discovered my fear of crowds he offered to help me with that too!. While hypnotized he discovered my reason for my fear wasn't of crowds but of being touched!. Digging even further into my subconscious, he found the reason for that phobia: My uncle had molested me from the time I was 5 until I was 11!. He died when I was 21 and it was shortly after that the panic attacks started when I would be out in a crowd!. My uncle's death triggered me having been inappropriately touched but it did not manifest itself until his death!.

This just happened a few months ago, but i am now able to go out and shop on Saturdays at stores, in heavy crowds, and it doesn't bother me at all!. It's amazing what a phobia can do to You--and the cause of it! But the relief from those panic attacks is wonderful!.

Phobias CAN be overcome!. Please see a licensed hypnotherapist if you have one and need help in overcoming it!.

likes playing with our fears… ahhh… can feel the adrenaline just thinking about it… funny we used to be near fearless… as we get old it seams to take more effort to do the same reckless things… then again we used to be scared of the dark… now we take comfort in it…Www@QuestionHome@Com
