There are many reasons!. One is simply retrospect!. When you look back at any amount of time, you are recalling the highlights, and the plain ol' uninteresting bits of time slip from memory!. Another is age!. Time seems to speed up the older you get!. This is matter of the perception of proportion!. When you are five, the week between Xmas and New Years equals 1/312th of your entire life!. Not an entirely small chunk!. At 45, a week represent a mere 1/2340th of my life!. Finally, there is a perception difference caused by activity vs!. inactivity!. If you are constantly in motion, needing to occupy your mind with the enjoying or surviving everything that's going on around you, you will not spare as much of your attention to notice the passage of time!. When you take a moment, you are surprised to see how much time those activities required, because you weren't thinking about time at the time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
