Well, I guess you have a point!.!.!. in a sense!. The literal interpretation of UNCONDITIONAL, would mean there would be no conditions whatsoever!. This would mean your love would be directed toward a thing, regardless of what it was!. If you loved a person, and he or she turned into a turtle, never to turn back again, your love would continue the exact same way!.

Or if the person turned their attitude in life to be completely backwards to what it once was, and you would continue loving them "Just because!."

I guess minimally conditional love is what we're aiming for!. Cause you fall in love with a person, and the condition is, that that person continues being themselves!. You wouldn't be concerned with the small stuff, though!.!.!. like if they got cancer, they would still be themselves!.

Ofcourse it does, although it doesn't exist for everyone!. Most parents have unconditional love for their children!. And you can have unconditional love for another person (rare but possible), no matter what they do, to you, other people or themselves, whether they love or hate you, you still love them, thats unconditional love!. unconditional love is something that you get from a pet, but even that depends on you feeding it or not beating it!. its a real nice thought, however, its like blind faith!. those who feel it feel at peace!. even though their blind faith could hurt them!. (like the faith that they will be saved when they jump from a tall building or something) or the unconditional love they feel is for someone who turns out later to be a serial killer or something really bad!. There should be some sense involved is these choices!. My best example to you is how a mother loves her child!.

The moment that the baby is born, the mother immediately devotes her whole being for that child!.

Name ONE mother who would stop loving her child for breaking a window, or doing poorly in school, or!.!.!. even killing a person!?

Unconditional love does not necessarily mean an obligation, but rather such an infatuation and reverence for another entity that anything other than devoting your heart and soul to it would be considered inadequate!.

Many religious people can also relate to how God loves them!. If God really had the personality of a typical human, who loves for specific reasons, at least 80% of the world would not be existing (yeah, we as humans are really that messed up)!. However, I really don't think The Lord would spend 4 billion years to create such an advanced creature (or 7 Days for those who believe otherwise) just to be cynical toward them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A mother has a child, and the child screams, cries, wants, breaks things, and eats everything the poor parents have!. The child grows up, stays out late, drinks, yells "I hate you", and totals both of the parent's cars, before leaving for a community college without so much as a "Thank you"!.
