The answer depends on your beliefs!. If you are religious then life's purpose is to be judged and move on to heaven!.Simple!.
But if you are not, life can seen pointless!. Irrespective of what we do on this earth, we will die and all will seem, well, pointless!. It seems that the purpose, day to day, is to accomplish the tasks set by our human-created society!. If your job is to wash dishes, then the point to life is to scrub and polish!. But doesnt it feel like our efforts are worthless!? It doesnt matter if you clean the dishes because someone else could clean them and no one would know the difference!. Your life doesnt really matter because you are doing something that anyone can do and thus you are not important!.
But what about shakespear or martin luther king, do they matter!? anyone off the street would say YES!. The sad fact is, eventually the earth will explode or cease to exist and no one will ever know who these two men were!. So it seems that the point to life is not to accomplish and be remembered!. So what is it!? if actions and personal lives dont matter, then why do we wake in the morning!? (religion looks pretty good right now, less stress and thinking haha)!.
We may not be important to society or on the larger scale, and if we give up this hope it may threaten to take the wind out of our sails!. If life is not real, life is not earnest, and the grave is its goal, perhaps it's ridiculous to take ourselves so seriously!. On the other hand, if we can't help taking ourselves so seriously, perhaps we just have to put up with being ridiculous!. Life may be not only meaningless but absurd!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

There's no inherent meaning to life common to everyone!. But as a human you're more than capable of coming up with whatever points you like for your own life!. If you want the point of your life to be enjoyment, or making the world a better place, or giving your children a better life than you had, or creating a legacy that will live on after you die, or finding the perfect pancake recipe, or serving some sort of deity, then go ahead!. Your life can have whatever point, and however many points, you choose!. Just keep in mind that some potential purposes are impossible or illegal, so you might like to steer clear of those!. I think everyone gets to this point in life when the whole thing seems pointless!.
