The question is an answer, but one you need to explore!.
I propose the following, and you pick and choose:
1) All debates are senseless, as they resolve nothing!.
2) Winning and Losing are not the point, it is in the presentation and the effort that the debate assumes value!.
3) The world does now, and will always, need leaders who are skilled at resolving conflicts intelligently!. Debate can teach this, if the student and/or the mentor are keen to share the format as a stepping stone to actual conflict resolution!. (See a problem from both/either side and distill it down to its essence!.)
4) Superficial debates produce superficial results!. A well-researched, well-documented debate style, prepares the mind and one's study habits in ways not readily measured!.
5) As a form, debate is antiquated, and a cold, lifeless, anachronism!. As a forum, it is an opportunity to excel!

Nope, it's not like Tic-Tac-Toe!. There is a proof, and I may not have explained it properly, but if you prove that two unrelated events are connected, especially in the reality of subjective (unshared) realities, then the case of reality being real is proven!. How else can an unshared event influence a nonexistent environment!?

If you are placed on the illusion side, then you're on your own because all I could say would be "What are you on!? Well, give me some!"Www@QuestionHome@Com

Since this can get complicated for those who don't see it yet, I'll leave you with this!.!.!.!. Look around your room, or anywhere you are!. Find one thing other than nature itself of course, that you can say wasn't in someone's mind before becoming material!.

So my question to you is, have you ever done anything without thinking of it first!? Well again, look around you!. Our whole world was conceived the same way!. Couldn't have we said at one point that our buildings, automobiles, books, songs, airplanes, and any of today's technological breakthroughs, were illusions before they "showed up"!?

"Illusion" is defined as "An erroneous perception of reality" "An erroneous belief or concept" Well, my answer to that is for centuries the finest minds of the time believed the earth was flat, didn't they!? Not long ago the idea of going to the moon was enough to get a person committed to a psychiatric ward!. They laughed at the Wright Bros!. for claiming and believing they could fly!.!.!. who would've though of even the possibility of wireless phones less than 50 years ago!? Should I go on!?

So, after all the evidence of the past, how can we say that something is actually illusion!? We just don't know!.

Good Luck with your debate!. I propose that the debate would actually be given a new title: "Is there really such thing as Illusion!?" Or even better!.!.!. that the theme would be to explore the amazing creative power of man!. And explaining (without unscientific or religionist theories please) where he gets it from!.!.!.

Uhmm!.!.!. now I'm interested!.!.!. ;-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wow!.
I would certainly have a hard time with this, as I believe each person's
reality is different - Our life experience, what we're taught, and environment effect how we perceive things!.
Maybe you could get a 'draw' at the debate!?!?!?!?

Just say that you can not prove anything (use your debate as an example) because you cannot prove that everything could be the trickery of an evil Demon!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
