As long as humans are confined to living only on this one planet then many of the previous answers are likely accurate!. If we can begin living elsewhere than Earth, many of those problems would be eliminated!. There would be no more resource or overpopulation problems, but society would certainly need to be restructured, which would happen in any case once we colonize other worlds!. Eventually boredom might set in, but with a whole universe to explore I think it would be a very long time indeed before it did!. So I don't think that it's immortality, per se, that would cause the problems, but only our unwillingness to change in light of it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Life is hard enough just for the time that we are allotted here already! I would guess that even if that ever happened, they still wouldn't be able to regain your youth!. My dad used to say "getting old isn't for sissies"!
I would think that living a double life span being an older person would not be much fun!. Plus, there would be more time for you or a loved one or anyone for that matter to become a victim of crime!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are many obvious answers to your question, but one thatt seldom gets addressed is this:

At some point, an Immortal person will have Immassed so much knowledge as to see the rest of humanity as children, animals even!. In that situation, what kind of societal mechanics need to be in place to properly structure how different ages of people are treated!? Would we begin to have seperation of the young from the very old in order to protect society!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

first science must study to the deepest core what boredom is and what would be a consequences of a boredom and related stresses for mortal ones!. When its done, and it takes may be another dozen centuries, then it would be appropriate to take for consideration subject of immortality if interest in it will not fade away with a study I mentioned aboveWww@QuestionHome@Com

boredom, non-stop pains, facing more losses and changes of era, unsatisfied, ended up feeling cage, wishing to be freed from this life!. glad that there's death to end up all these craps!. but if we were not to live this life on a true basis, it might would just end us worse after death, and worst for good!. gosh, both life and death is hard!. thankfully, it's us who have chosen it this way, to live!. to find!. I don't think that you could really ever get bored, I mean we all experience boredom, but there is so much that you can do!. So many books to read!. But I think that too much information, and seeing so much would just takes in toll on the mind and you would go insane!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
