Question: Did almost everyone successful in something have a naysayer who said they would never make it!?

I would say yes, although there's no way of knowing for sure!. I read many biographies, and I've come across more negativity instead of support, and many struggles!.

Sadly, my parents do the same thing to me (I understand that it's a product of their own upbringing - they really don't mean to do it)!. It happened again just recently, and I was shocked at how devastated it made me feel!. And I'm over 40 years old !

The best support comes from within, The only time you should accept defeat, is when you yourself get acceptable proof that something will just not work out, and that there's nothing u can do to change it!. That's the time to change direction, ever so slightly!.

Otherwise, be like those successful people throughout history!.
Never stop pushing for achievement, and become your own source of encouragement!.

Good luck !Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many of the most successful and famous people had an outstanding naysayer!. The Beatles, Colonel Sanders, Thomas edison , and many more!. I think that even if someone else is not our naysayers then we have a little voice in our heads that might tell us not to believe for the best!. I think there is always some type of naysayer just some people have so much positive thinking that they cannot hear the naysayer as it runs it mouth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes, definitely!. i think some people only know to judge a thing by its price tag!. lots of people just play the odds!. they think, there's no way, the person I know, that's speaking here to me right now will ever be famous to the world!. ya right!. i think often it takes very few, the connaisseurs to label something great and then others follow suit, or if something grows in popularity, like a band!. but there are always people that are in disbelief, that don't think others could become very well known!. but in fact, every person that has achieved anything went to primary school, went to highschool, met very many people before they became well known!.

i think some are supportive, some believe others can accomplish, some just think it laughable and ridiculous that the person they are standing there talking to could become very well known, the odds just seem impossible to them!. it would be like telling them that the next lottery ticket they buy will be the jackpot!. except the difference is, it is not luck that makes people great!.

I'm not saying that everybody who did great things though did it against all odds, against everybody giving them negativity, some had good support, when receiving awards they often thank those people that supported them!. but i think all of them had SOME naysayers and probably quite a few, but many had lots of support as well!.

though technically i would ascribe successful with a much larger number of people!. i mean it depends what you call successful!. i don't think you need to be famous to be successful, i think probably many people do much more difficult things in their lives, that gets much less recognition, so i think people can be successful even at accomplishing things that are more common accomplishments, but i think for all the ones that seem more difficult than that, or that people don't think they themselves could do, then you would get some naysayers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nope - Look at the gentlemen that started portapotty!. They filled a need for portable toilets and nobody said, "You're wasting your time"!.

They probably said, "Hurry the **** up dude!"
