I think if we feel so joy in our spirits than we are not living our true natures!. This is not an easy thing to do either to find and know our true natures it can many years to discover this through experience and limitations that we have set in our own lives out of fears to take a chance and security of living and things that have happened to us in our past to keep us stuck in ruts and not follow our passions because we never had time or others never helped us foster what we love to be and do :)))Eventually once we grow older I truly believe that we can find great joy in our lives by our hobbies of joy in spirit but we must have that balance to do this :))Www@QuestionHome@Com

As all things have different perspective, so does the natures a man is composed of have!. Our vices could be our true nature from the sense of our divided minds and earthly consciousness!. But at the same time our true nature can be much more than this, that which is not of this world of which we are connected to and a expression from!. It has been called the Soul, but it is your Authentic Self -- your Higher Self - your Greater Self!.

And no, man does not use their true instincts -- in order to do that man would have to be conscious, but people are asleep!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes and no!.

Our true nature might be what we say and do when our societal inhibitions have been lifted through mental defect or alcohol!. We all limit, or censure our actions (words and deeds) in some respect in order to survive in our culture, society, and even family!.

Interestingly, the closer one can get to feeling true love (of God, first and of his neighbor as himself second), the easier it is to live without the painful constraints of self-censorship!. Of course, society may find a person living a self-sacrificial life of love even more offensive than a serial killer, and even treat them in a worse manner!.

Jesus Christ was beat with fists, crowned with thorns, flayed with a whip, had his beard torn out, and was spit upon!.!.!. before he was nailed to a cross-piece of wood and suspended, exposed, mutilated, and humiliated for the whole world to see!. His crime!? Love!.

He suffered this, so that we might throw off our unloving natures and follow him even unto punishments such as he faced!. Because we have become enemies of the Creator God of the Universe through our own actions and without His sacrifice of Love, we would face an eternity of the extreme pain and suffering of being separated from God!. We now have before us, in our lifetimes a choice to make!. Eternal joy and love in communion with God, or eternal punishment and suffering without!.

Choose now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"True Nature" is a suspect term because it really depends on what the agenda of the writer is as to what it is!.

The name implies that there is a "False Nature" which would be an impossibility!. If its opposite is impossible there is good reason to assume that the term is meaningless!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hahaha!. Good one Bryan S!. That good old Christian retoric just hangin on in there!. To (roughly) quote the marvellously sharp George Carlin¨:

Religion has convinced people that there is an invisible man in the sky who sees everything you do!. And he has a list of 10 things that you mustnt do and if you do them you will be sent to a place of fire and torment and will anguish you for all eternity!. But he loves you!.
