If there weren't any social restraints, such as laws or police, would humans take advantage of one another!? Would they help!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Trust me, if we were selfless, we would have been extinct a loooooooongggg time ago!.

We are selfish by nature, ruthless by choice, and selfless only out of stupidity!. Everything we do is out of motives of self interest, even a parent loving a child is selfish (why!.!.!.!. because we love people hoping that they would reciprocate, we love people because it gives us a sense of satisfaction, we do good deeds because that too gives us a sense of satisfaction)

it is never that simple!. we are complex creatures!. I would have to say both but since we are hypothesizing , havent you realized at some point or another everyone takes advantage of everyone in some way or another!.!.!. in one form or another!. sometimes its helpful and sometimes its not!. are you asking if they would help themselves or help others!.!.!.be more specific!. but basically we are all both to some extent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

of course were selfish!. but that doesnt mean without the rules wed just kill steal and abuse each other, the rules devloped becuase humans understand that we need each other for survival, alone we cant do much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

not to be too negative, but i think selfish!.
just because with natural selection and whatnot, being selfish is usually more beneficial to survivalWww@QuestionHome@Com
