Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I like to think about why do I think about the things that I think about!. It was an atom!. It expanded, in to galaxies and stars and planets in them, everything pulling away for now!. On those planets one was ours, called Earth!. I existed for a long time, before there was any living being on it!. Then there were living beings on it, and they lived and they died, and they lived and they died, and then there were humans!. Humans were alone , and scared, so they invented Gods for themselves!. It was after they began to become conscious of their surroundings!. Their consciousness was slow to develop and it had a long evolutionary history, and many fail safe mechanisms!. There was intellect but it was and still is subservient to the instincts!. Humans acquired language , and then writing and learned about their surrounding, or at least some of them did!. They learned who they are, where they have come from , how they worked!. They unlearned gods, some of them did!. But consciousness was confusing, so mind was divided in consciousness and unconsciousness!. The unity of personality that the infinite storage of information through trial and error unconsciousness awarded the consciousness to function better in a dangerous environment, and a complex social setting was called, EGO, or the I!. There were so many possibilities of thoughts and actions, and the social setting was getting more and more complex!. We had left our animal past behind, though carried all its marks in our brains!. We called ourselves civilized and created societies and civilizations and cultures!. The need to multiply our kind , the ultimate biological imperative , worked on all of our species as we all developed in all different parts of the planet!. With time we learned to reason, or at least some of us did!. We grew smarter, but mostly our smarts were used to keeps our fellow beings below us!. Our Ego, our I, was hungry!. Had it been totally naturally like other animals , we would not have learned to go out of our ways to hurt other life forms , our fellow species or not!. But we did!. The civilization was developing rapidly, and the natural evolution of the hardwired brain was unable to keep up with it!. Through the use of language we learned to create hierarchies!. I think we don't realize how much of our time fritters away to nothing because we're not paying attention!. I think most of the people that read this with either disagree or believe a slightly different version of it!.
