Alot of NGO are usually religious-affiliated with motives of self interest (missionaries, evangelism e!.t!.c) and its good to see the peace corps doing things with out an ultimatum!. The annual budget is only about $250 Million dollars which is about the same as two hours in Iraq!. It's not really important to the government or the populace!. If it was vital there would be more qualified people managing it and there would be more of a push for highly skilled volunteers!. The Peace Corps should be downsized or just shutdown!. It's not very effective!. From a very high level perspective, Peace Corps is doing the same work in approximately the same countries as 40 years ago!. People will more than likely disagree, but that's what my practical experience tells me!.
