I served in the Peace Corps and to be perfectly honest it's not important!. In my opinion it's not necessary anymore!.

The annual budget is only about $250 Million dollars which is about the same as two hours in Iraq!.

It's not really important to the government or the populace!. If it was vital there would be more qualified people managing it and there would be more of a push for highly skilled volunteers!.

The Peace Corps should be downsized or just shutdown!. It's not very effective!. From a very high level perspective, Peace Corps is doing the same work in approximately the same countries as 40 years ago!.

People will more than likely disagree, but that's what my practical experience tells me!.

Good luck with the essay!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The peace corps goes beyond the political stirring stick it is intended to be!.

The peace corps does things like send teachers to third world areas to give the children formal education!. The peace corps is a method of wartime relief to local populations of the war torn!. Through the organizing of resources for the displaced populace, like food water and shelter!. The specific things they do are infinite, but their goals are to "share the wealth" of the consumer cultures!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Peace Corps is very important because of the goal they promote and that is --- PEACE!. Peace is very important to human kind!. When there is Peace , there is love and living in a peaceful environment promotes healthy relationship among mankind!. That is what we need especially in this times when war is prevalent!. PEACE on earth and good will to man as the old adage says!.

Thanks for asking!. Have a great day!Www@QuestionHome@Com
