Question: Is it a bad thing to question everything so philosophically!?
When i became 18 years old my views on everything began to change!. maybe it was a something that god himself had seeded with in me, although i'm positive the plenty of religious fanatics that will be storming in here will say other wise!. Never the less i began to ask questions towards just about everything for the next three years, what is life!?, what is the meaning of our existance!?, do i have a purpose!?, is the goverment really for the people!?(which i seriously doubt), is there a hell!?(which i seriously doubt), is the bible really the word of god!?, if a midget and a woman have a baby will the baby be a midget or not!?!. so what i'm getting at here is it bad for me to question every or ask so many questions!? i feel like it's something inside that i can not stop from asking these questions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Everyone enters into a period of self-questioning and self-doubt!. This is perfectly natural!. Along with this period of questioning and doubt will come a time when you feel hollow inside, like there's something missing!. You will go through a period where you feel like you don't belong, like something isn't right!. I used to say that it felt like at that place inside me where other people have a warm happy place, I had an empty space with a question mark!.

It's okay to feel like you're alone, like you don't belong, like you're searching for something but you haven't found it yet (cue that U2 song, someone, quick!)!.

It's a part of growing up!. The religious types are quick to jump on this transitional period and say "See! You miss God! Come praise Him and give His church your money!"

Well, I'm critical of religion (the words "all bunkum!" are on my lips), but it is important that you take the time to THINK FIRST about what you do and where you're going and to ask questions and never just blindly accept answers!.!.!. from anyone, whether authority figures or criminals, scientists or priests!.

Welcome to the beginning of the rest of your life! It's going to suck for a while, but at some point you'll start to figure it out and get your bearings back!. Everyone goes through this, it's just that some rush towards the first thing that offers them comfort and purpose, and some don't!.

The word "cynic" comes from the ancient Greeks, who founded the philosophy of cynicism (what we now associate with doubt, disbelief, and criticism)!. The name "cynic" comes from the Greek word for dog, because a dog will sniff something before it eats it!.

Would that we were all so smart!. =)

Asking questions is always a good idea!. If people stop asking questions and just accept everything their told, then you'll end up with a dystopia that many science fiction writers foresee!.

also while your asking your questions why not ask "Is there really an omnipotent supper force that will grant me eternal life after my mortal shell expires!?" Www@QuestionHome@Com

Pleae remember that questions are what life is all about, how else is one to "Know Thyself"!.

I have had the same experience, it feels as if you're on a downward spiral, you may even reach Descartes plain of questionining everything except thought!.

Life is a quest for knowledge where questioning is your vehicle!.!.!. Just remember to "live it" along the way,,,,

And breathe deeply

Question Authority was a hippie slogan, but we believed it entirely!. What you have is an open, inquisitive mind, and that is a very good thing!. The whole of Existentialist philosophy requires jettisoning all assumptions before you even begin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

nope, because a person who doesnt question is a sheep, and is oblivious to what goes on around him, a person like u who questions, will come to a conclusion, and in doing so will actually have a personal reason for believing in what they believe in, which is always a good thingWww@QuestionHome@Com

nothing wrong with that!. Try as hard as you can to understand!. Of course it is best not to blatantly deny things; I have had to revise many of my thought-out beliefs, in favor of what I was told as a kid!.

Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Is it wrong to breath!? Is it wrong to eat!? We cannot stop who we are and what we as humans do and one of the things we are so found of doing is questioning! With this in mind never stop questioning whats really going on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
