Question: How often do we!.!.!.!.!.!?

!.!.!.!.kiss but don't love !?

How often these precious things are done automatically, thus losing their true value !? What's your opinion on that!?

I see what you mean!.!.!.it's the "auto-pilot" syndrome and we've all been there!.!.!.It's sometimes overwhelming to be hyper sensitive to all five senses at once, oh, but when we do, it's an explosion of input that almost overloads our circuits!. It can be liberating or devastating, depending on the circumstances!. Give me a charge of reality any day if it's for the wonderment of humankind but shield me from despair on it's counter-part of sorrowful destruction!. This instantly reminded me of my favourite essay, Paradox of our time:
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less!.

We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness!.

The Beatles had a couple of good songs about this too!. John Lennon in Strawberry Fields Forever said, "Living is easy with eyes closed/ Misunderstanding all you see!." They sang again in "Nowhere Man" "He's as blind as he can be/ Just sees what he wants to see/ Nowhere Man can you see me at all!?"

We are too consumed with time so we learn to do just the basics or to get to the point!. When we are driving we are looking to see where we are going, the point is the grocery store, not the sun setting over the mountains!. They never lose they're true value, we just replace what we value!. Maybe if we stopped to appreciate it more often we would change what we value!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, there are times when we fall into a routine, when we simply continue to exist rather than really living!. This is why we need to stand back every so often and really see the beauty in the world, listen to what others are really saying, feel the joy or sorrow or pain, say what we really mean, and feel the love that's there (sometimes hidden below the surface)!.

I definitely agree!. Sometimes we spend too much time hurrying through life that we forget to "stop & smell the roses!." Which is a shame, because there are so many wonderful things to enjoy!. One day we'll regret not taking the time to appreciate life, but it'll be too late!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
