Question: Does self awareness come with a price!?

Not unless you count the humbleness and humility it gives you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it may be worth the price though!. Depends on what you discover and how you use it!. You said "self" awareness!. Being aware of your own weaknesses, limitations, potential and strengths would be a great thing!. Being aware of your responsibilities and not fulfilling them would have great consequences

"And that servant who knew his master's will but did not get ready or act as he would wish him to act shall be beaten with many [lashes]!.But he who did not know and did things worthy of a beating shall be beaten with few [lashes]!. For everyone to whom much is given, of him shall much be required; and of him to whom men entrust much, they will require and demand all the more!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes it does!. Greater self-awareness leads to understanding and that leads to greater sensitivity!. Greater awareness leads to deeper Q's and better thought out A's provided one does not cocoon them self in that awareness which, as many know, becomes narcissistic subjectivism w/o self-reflection,study and growth as a whole person!.

The right kind of self-awareness paradoxically leads the wise philosophers to greater objective appreciation of the connectivity and interdependence between all things because" the self" is not embedded in the way we see and understand others!. Self-awareness reduces the level of confusion and brings a measure of peace to the self-aware person!. But it also brings turmoil and tons of Questions because being self-aware only powers your desire to know & understand the experiences of being alive in all its facets & dimensions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I think true self-awareness comes at a painful, albeit rewarding price!. The pain of self-awareness is realizing that ultimately one stands alone in existence!. The suffering of self-awareness is relinquishing the comfort of belonging to a whole, in the realization that one belongs only to oneself, is responsible for one's self!. Self-awareness is seeing the self clearly and without illusion, and this is a painful thing! To be stripped of all defenses!. Yes, self-awareness is brutal honesty, being unable to escape--not wanting to escape--the reality of one's nature and existence!. Yet, with self-awareness, I think, comes the most valuable insights, paving the way for advancement, even freedom!.!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would suppose it does largely depend upon the you, you become aware of!. Self awareness is an understanding of why we behave, react, are the people others perceive us to be!. The only compromise is a lack of self esteem caused by erosion of confidence by adverse life experience!. It’s easily remedied!.

The very nature of self awareness is to understand and by doing so overcome and negativity or flaws inherent in ones biological and emotional interface!.

Sure, but being ignorant comes with an even bigger price!. Just because you don't completely understand something doesn't mean that it can't hurt you!. You would still feel the pain, but you just wouldn't know what was causing it!. If you're aware of yourself and your surroundings, you can see things that other people miss, and it can hurt but you would also never want to go back to being ignorant!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!.!.!.!.!.!. at the base level of primary self awareness, the price comes in the shape of ego, emotions and conscience that affect us!. For attaining the higher level of self awareness, the process therefore needs to be reversed and one needs to get emancipated by gaining control over ego, emotions and conscience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"`Every time man yields to anxiety, he takes one step away from the leading of the spirit of his heart!.' Pride obscures God!. If you would obtain heavenly help, put away your pride; every hair of pride shuts off saving light, as it were, by a great cloud!. If you are not right on the inside, it is useless to pray for that which is on the outside!. `If I hear your prayers, it is because you come before me with a clean heart, free from falsehood and hypocrisy, with a soul which reflects truth like a mirror!. If you would gain immortality, forsake the world and come to me!.'"Www@QuestionHome@Com

The large human brain means that
1!. Human children need to be looked after for a longer period than any other animal!.
2!. Humans have a higher death rate for mothers during child birth!.

But our huge, self aware brain is a such an advantage that these 2 prices do not put us at a evolutionary disadvantage and are actually, survival wise, good value for money!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. All the mistakes made, the people hurt and the life lessons you ignored before you finally started to learn!. Once you begin to have clarity and live in the moment is when self awareness comes full circle!.

I would suggest that it varies with the depth of the experience!. A "price" does not have to have a negative connotation!.

The deepest awareness my in fact be independent of "self" and rather be an observer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not really,u can learn from other people's experiences if u have a keen eye!.Make yourself to be able to think more maturely than your real age!.That way probably you wont have to pay price to be aware!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If so, the price will be positive!. Self awareness only leads to knowing what the next steps in life are!. To ignore self awareness would only stop natural growth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sure!. Your ego will get deflated!. But if you're willing to look in the mirror and see yourself for what you are and then change your mistakes, you'll be better off for it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. Self-awareness (or, more precisely, a grasp of the concept of "causality") brings with it an inherent personal responsibility for one's actions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
