Question: Do you think that wisdom is avoiding all thoughts that weaken you!?

How can you "avoid" thoughts!? It is more a matter of "creating" positive thoughts instead!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The battles you get through and the things in life you overcome is what makes you mature, which gives you wisdom!. I think that a lot of people don't know how to avoid their weaknesses, because they ar either young, or they just don't know where to begin!. When they, or if they do ever find out how to avoid their weaknesses, that is what creates wisdom!. I know a lot of people who are able to help me with my weaknesses because they have overcome theirs, and are very wise!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

No one , not even the wisest of men , can ever avoid any thoughts , let alone bad thoughts!. No way!. Like the waves on the surface of the ocean constantly rising and falling , thoughts will rise and fall!.!. As the waves reach the shore it gets disintegrated and disappear, so will the thoughts IF THEY ARE NOT RESISTED!.
Thus wisdom is not struggling to avoid thoughts but allowing the thoughts to come and go!. No thought is a bad thought ( or a good one)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not 'straight' thoughts!. Like ignoring world events!.

But there is great wisdom in avoiding damaging paradigms & debilitating questions!.

If you, as is the tendency of humans, do something stupid!.

"How do I fix this!?" is a wise empowering question!.

"Why am I so stupid!?" directs your mind to denigrate itself!.

So whereas I generally avoid absolutes like "all thoughts" your gist is correct!. It's best to avoid dis-empowering thoughts & viewpoints!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

certainly not ,the question shows us the flaws in your paradigm, thank you,Is wisdom the ability to think the correct thought in a given situation!?or is understanding the nature of thought, part of wisdom!?Thought itself weakens us!.Thought is the movement of words, words are part of mans imagined universe, sound and association, this is word!.Noises !.Words give a description of what we call 'life',but it cannot 'be' its description,so what is it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wisdom is the ability to recognize your weaknesses, and to know how to avoid putting your self in a position when you will be weak ei temptation!. No, unless it has do do with someone's belittling input about you, or someone trying to convince you of an identity that is truly not of your own!. I also agree with not being overly selective on your what you at least consider or listen to before concluding!. As for me, ultimately I'd rather see myself for who I truly am right now from an understanding from, and a trust in someone that I know of that is much greater than I am or ever could be!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You cannot prevent any thoughts from entering your mind!.

Wisdom comes with self-experience or learning from others' experience! It lies in not 'avoiding' BUT not 'acting' on those thoughts which could lead to your fall!.!.!.!.it lies in foreseeing the consequences!.

Even so I'd say (initially) we gain wisdom by acting & falling!.!.!.and then getting up!.!.!.again & again!. Oh, its getting so confusing!!! Www@QuestionHome@Com
