An example of utilitarianism, whereby one is sacrificed for the good of the majority is the scapegoating of public figures for the crimes of the many!. Some are made example and laid at the altar, ruined in reputation and career for a deed the many were corroborating and an accessory to!. An example, an Indian director was accused and taken to trail for the murder of his business rival a prominent high profile figure!.

The murder was an underworld plot executed because the murdered guy, Kumar, with his new found fame and fortune was in the process of orchestrating a plan to undermine the Indian underworld, and gain some easy glory in the eyes of the public!. The underworld had him duly shot dead, and Nadeem Saifi carried the can, although the British courts acquitted him for the crime!.

There are other examples whereby one figure is sacrificed to ‘save’ the majority !.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You want divorce because you simply want to be free and happy!. And yes, it's not suitable when it comes to religious people!.

This is definitely an example of utilitarianism!.

Another good example is to do something terrible in order to avoid something even worse!. Like, in order to satisfy our hungry stomachs, we steal from other people, we get caught and end up rotten in jail!.!.
