Question: Would you trade places, for one year, with an Amazon Indian!?
Imagine the everyday contact with Nature, so different from the jungle of concrete where you now live, and having to hunt and fish for survival; and collecting edible roots and fruits from the jungle; and put up with the mosquitoes, leeches, poisonous snakes and more!. Would that be Paradise for you!? Yes, here we take everything for granted and think ourselves "masters" of the planet!. A shower of humility would do a lot of good to most of us!.
Thanks for the answer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

sounds like an adventure!

i get what your saying, its really funny how we go to supermarkets and get the foods we need, and then the only hunting were really doing is putting our hands in the refrigirator, its like a food producing machine!

BUT, I disagree on your insinuation that we are on the wrong path!.
its always good not to take everything for granted since these things can be taken away!. but your forgetting what we are now, we are more productive, we dont have to worry about food because were too busy worrying about other things, while yes those people who live in the amazon hunt and stuff, but we go to work, we try to improve as a society, helping poverty (at least some of us), finding alternate sources of fuel, discoveries! your missing all these things! and one day we may also take these things that we do now for granted, because were doing something else more worth while!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not all plants transplanted into another soil survive or flourish, Some wither in no time and some make a feeble attempt but do not regain their full potential!.!.!.

Similarly, not all humans have the ability to adapt themselves to different cultures or styles of living!. Just like we, the city-dwellers would find if hard to live life shorn of all comforts; even they would feel like a fish out of water in cities!.!.!.

They have practical knowledge of centuries behind them, about nature which is way beyond our ken, which helps them survive 'alongwith' other life-forms!.!.!.

I think a highly dedicated person only can trade places for one year!.!.!.as for me I can only go as a curious visitor, honestly!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

A jungle is a jungle JL, whether it be one of concrete boxes or forest foliage!. Who would live anywhere but amongst the cultured, civilised and peaceable!. I visited Dagenham and Brixton two opposing vicinities not entirely dissimilar to each other and it was horrid!. These great menacing looking primates with expressions beyond description, JL!. Admittedly I have travelled to the back streets of Bombay where death comes quickly and easily to curly haired ladies unescorted!.

I find my peace is India suburbia life where good folks, descendants of a familial line dwell!. I tend to be in peace whereso my demons are not, and get along with all people from all walks of life, much to the dismay of those who seek such patronage but are denied it!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ooopss! Was that word HUMILITY I just read!? First, is to bear and thrust that word 'HUMILITY' into the chest! Then learn to understand one's neighbors not by controlling them like possessions but seeing them as another person like oneself with a heart and mind to take care of their own places to survive!. Then to treasure their own like these Amazon Indian thinks of their own paradise!. No matter what was it made of!. They were still from nature!.

By the way, Do we only have to say things about HUMILITY!? Are we demonstrating it either!? Please let us be honest before we think ourselves as masters!. Then before showing the world we treasure what we really have as our very own!.

Besides I don't mind about the place! I care about my Indian buddies!.!.They're one of the best in this whole wide world!

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate!.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure!.
