Question: Is it better to run away from bad feelings, or just cry them out!?
I feel like depression is following me, or better yet, chasing me, and I keep running away!. It's not that anything cures these feelings, but distraction seems to keep them at bay!. I'm tired of running, do you think I should just cry and cry and cry!? Distraction doesn't solve anything and crying doesn't change anything!.!.!.I suppose going to the gym is an option!.!.!.!.more distraction!.!.!.!.grrrrWww@QuestionHome@Com

Ultimately, one must deal with the source of that depression!.

Reality is harsh, it is up to us to find the a foothold and the resources in life to deal with it!. The foothold is the comfortable place, and the resources would be a solution!. However, crying for no reason does nothing!. It is better to find something amusing to do than to cry for no reason!.

Yes, the problems are real, but without the ability to change perspectives, we are not able to see a solution, stuck helplessly, thus depression follows!.

Constantly suppressing emotions is not healthy, working out deals with the symptoms, but not the causes!. Except for sports players, exercise should be a training to keep the body fit!. Exercise is not a drug to escape life and it certainly shouldn't be over dosed!.

Understand that talking on the phone is an exercise, crying is a good workout!. Crying to seek comfort / help is not a bad thing if kept to a reasonable level!.

Smile and laughter are the best cures!. Try them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If it hurts inside and you want to cry - CRY!
Crying is a great release - just cry as hard as you need to!. also, it might be helpful to think on what is the cause of these feelings, evaluate them for what they are and try to find a positive learning lesson out of it!.

And in addition to help you feel better I would definitely write about it - whether in coherent form or just an emotional "free writing" where you get everything out in one jumbled mess - but at least it's out!. Or, if you're an artist - draw or paint!.

If you believe in God - pour out your heart to Him - He is wonderful at clearing up the fog and easing a burdened heart!.

Going to the gym will also be great as it is improving your physical health and you'll feel fabulous once you're done - plus eating healthy and getting plenty of rest!.

also, nice nature walks help to reflect on things and appreciate the beauty of life!.

It is better to cry them out to release the bad feelings!. In this way, you could also unload the unwanted feeling!. This is likewise the outlet to do and feel better!. Crying is easing the pain within your heart!. However, running away is not the answer!. You must learn to face it and learn acceptance!. Never allow ourself to be engulfed by failures!. These are just trials in life to do better!. This is just one of the thorny roads to success!. Keep going!

There are other alternatives to the gym as well!. Maybe art even if you don't think you can draw you don't have to show anyone just another way of being able to express yourself or gardening as well as doing things with clay that can be therapeutic!. Sometimes keeping a journal and writing whatever comes out free writing can help clear things up!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Emotional and intellectual education can facilitate embracing adversity!. Each adverse experience is similar to a positive event!. If you must cry!.!.!.cry!. Then replace crummy stuff with better!. Give it its due, then move on!. some things we must simply endure but it's our choice on how long we marinade in them!.

What really helps me through tough times is simply asking myself; If my child came to me with this situation what would I tell them, then follow my own advice!.!.!.it works!.

Don't run from your fears!. Stop, turn around look them in the eye, see them for what they are!. They ONLY get there power from YOU!.

Cry if you need to - there is nothing wrong with that!. Find a friend you can confide in and explain your feelings - that way you won't feel alone and you'll realise that others have similar feelings as well!. You'll be surprised how much that actually helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
