Hi Yoga !
Aspirations are must to be alive!. This all depends on what you are aspiring for!. One has to have a vision & dream for his life & has to work towards it!. The dreams have to be real BIG!.
There is a famous saying:
"People without any dreams & visions for themselves have the hottest place reserved in hell !"
Content people will seldom grow in their life!. I will term them as Reactive people!. They will quickly respond to any stimulus that the life provides to them!. The other types are Proactive ones who will not respond to the stimulus !.They will exercise their choice of response & then respond!. The content ones see problems as obstacles & leave them to fate, where as an Achiever will always see the same as challenges & work on it!. Content people are also the types who give up easily!.

Remember, there is only one life that you get to live!. There can be so many things you may want to achieve till you live!. There cannot be any room for any pauses!. Now it is your own choice!.
Would you not love to be a person with Aspirations !?
Good Luck !Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you are first-born or only child, or first male child, or first child after a space of about five years, you would tend to be happier aspiring, striving, and achieving!.

If your parents, in any of those birth dynamics, over-supervised you, you likely have a problem with messy laziness, and seek to achieve in more unusual ways!.

Those are general human trends!.

If you're the second-born, and the older child rebelled, you may have adopted aspiring, when in fact your familial pattern would indicate a more mediative, social, interactive preference!.

Your confusion would perhaps be better healed if you learned to meditate; http://www!.easwaran!.org being one general method!.

It might be useful to read Dr!. Carol Dweck's "Mindset," to check on whether you have certain "success issues!."

A good strategy might be: know yourself, be happy and enjoy what you have, and seek to maintain and retain that happiness, as you seek to achieve clear goals, i!.e!. expand your sphere of attainment and happiness!.

Your aspirations never end!. After one is completed, the other is evolving!. And to be happy with what you have, is also not possible!. You will, till you live in this world, have to go on seeing, feeling, imagining newest things and the desire and inspirations to achieve shall naturally develop!. So, where shall you end - having reached what you aspired or to ask for more!. My answer to you is, you have a physical body, soul is also physical and your all attachments to the worldly things are through this soul and are physical!. YOU WILL BE HAPPY ONLY WHEN YOUR SPIRIT - THE ATMA - IS HAPPY AND THAT STAGE IS TO BE ONE WITH GOD!. THERE IS TOTAL ANANDA OR HAPPINESS!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

well, aspiration and contentment are two words of different planes!.
Contentment word comes in the world of past tense which is in the present as we already have WHERE AS
Aspiration comes WHAT YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE IN THE FUTURE the plasn for which is also made in the present!.
so if u stand in the present and look contentment speaks ok the past of what u already have WHILE
Aspiration of the future you want to be in / create in the present (U plan for that)
No Contentmentment or Dis contentment withh what you have will, will create blockades in ur aspiration!.
WHILE being Content with what you have already already got will give you the determination seek your aspirations!.
AND THEN WHAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED WILL BECOME PAST, SO BE CONTENET WITH WHAT YOU GOT, AND ASPIRE FOR WHATEVER YOU WANT IN LIFE!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That really depends on where you are in your life!. If you are still young and/or single I say shoot for your dreams and try to accomplish what you hope to accomplish!.

However, if you are older and married with kids, it may be prudent to accept your life as it is and try to be happy!. That is not to say forget about doing things that would make you feel fulfilled, but to accept your responsibilities and find joy in them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"When our desires, our craving, our constant discontent with what we have, and our continual longing for more and more does cause us suffering, then we should stop doing it!. He asks us to make a difference between what we need and what we want and to strive for our needs and modify our wants!. He tells us that our needs can be fulfilled but that our wants are endless - a bottomless pit!. There are needs that are essential, fundamental and that can be obtained and this we should work towards!. Desires beyond this should be gradually lessened!. After all, what is the purpose of life!? To get or to be content and happy!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

It all comes down to weather or not your happy!? But my guess is your not happy with being content anymore!. In which case you realize you can aspire to greater things!.So if you had to ask the question then you all ready know the answer!. It's all up to you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Human wants are never satisfied!.

There is no harm in dreaming for more!. But the path that you tend to follow to achieve your aim should not harm anyone in anyway!.
You can be happy with what you have, if you are fully satisfied!.
