your identity is your ego!. Whenever you consider anything outside of yourself to be good or bad then you hold it to be opposite within yourself!.

For example, if you think someone is bad, this means you consider yourself better!. If you consider someone else good, then it means you consider yourself deficient in ways that make the other person better in your eyes!.

If you see something outside that you like, you create desire inside because you don't possess it!. If you see something outside that you don't like, you create unwholesome righteousness inside, a desire to eliminate, crush or destroy it!.

So, #1, whenever you Judge, you create your identity!.

Other people create their identities the exact same way!. Only, they don't necessarily judge in the same way that you do!. So when you accept what someone else teaches you without evaluating it for yourself, then you take on some of their identity!.

So #2, you create your identity whenever you blindly accept whatever someone else teaches you without evaluating for yourself if you find it to be true or not!.

The interaction balance and conflict between these two ways in which your identity is formed, make you who you are, warts and all!.

Well you are influenced from you family, peers, friends and natural events in the world that inevitably influence our judgments in how we see things!. You could use the event of sept 11 2001 as a major event in your life that shaped how you saw your life shift from a natural carefree world to a world of fear, terrorism, hatred and unreconciled differences between the west and the east religions vs each other!.
You could use this as a Catalyst to show how your views changed over time, you might become more suspicious of your muslim neighbors !? Your friends views of them would've shifted your view of them also !? I don't know only you can answer these questions!.
The question can be quite deep if you think about it !?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Here is a way to think about it- what is your 'identity!?' It's who you are!. Are you a musician!? A social worker!? An ice skating enthusiast!? What events could influence this!? Well, maybe your father listened to music all day and you enjoyed it and wanted piano lessons!. Or maybe you were abused as a child and it made you sympathetic toward victims so you became a social worker!. Or maybe you had a grandmother who lived by a lake and you went to see her one Christmas and you got skates for Christmas and spent all day on the ice and then became an ice skater!. Now do you need 2 events that helped to shape your identity, or 2 events that lead to the realization of your identity!?

An event that may have shaped your identity may not be events, but a person in an event!. Like going to school!. I'm sure there is one teacher who helped you to find who you are, inspired you in some way to at least look at yourself and wonder, who am I!?

Or maybe you just had a decent thought-filled conversation with someone that helped you to realize yourself!.

Really though!. You can't ask someone to look back at your past and tell you what it may have been that helped to form you today!. You just have to look back yourself, and think of anything that may have altered your life!. Good or bad, anything that may have influenced you to change yourself even in the slightest!.

And don't think of a major catastrophic event like 9-11!. That's something that made the whole US realized itself!. Or at least some threats to itself!. In order to find something that influenced your identity, it HAS to be something in your life, something personal!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
