I would say both!.

Some good things come your way naturally without seeking for them and you consider yourself very lucky!.

But I have fought and struggled and the deep satisfaction of winning against all odds at times is deeply rewarding!. It gives a sense of self and self-knowing!. And confidence also!.

I fight against injustices : both for myself and other people!.

Maybe am going on a tangent here!. I used to work once for a very posh restaurant but gave my notice - all legal etc - to pursue other studies!. The restaurant owner refused to pay me and told me to go right away!. I was completely within my rights!. Everybody else was telling me that I would never win against such "big heads"!.
I did though!. My pride took over!. It took me over a year but I did not let go!. I was dirt poor and could not afford a lawyer or anything so ended up in the small court representing myself!. Against big Head and his lawyers!.

I won!. And got lots of compensations but it really took a long time and a lot of money - travel etc - out of me!. My pride was deeply affected so was my sense of fairness!.

It gave me lots of satisfaction really and the restaurant owner got a black "mark"- forgot what the proper term is - against his business!. Hopefully they learnt that not all people are stupid and will have to watch their own doings and not take people for granted!.

If people take no action, they just encourage people with power who think of themselves as invincible and alas too many people think too poorly of themselves and just refuse to fight!.

That said!.!.sure plenty of great things happened in my lap and my life which I did not seek and am sure grateful for them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sometime we have something without realizing it!. Until you look around and find out that not that many people have what you already have!. People tend to value more of something that they don't have!. They the forget what they already have!. If you can get it without to fight for it, hey that's a good thing!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh yeah! Of course! You might not realize it that moment, but trust me if you get something without fight it surely means that somebody would fight for it!. So don't take anything for granted and appreciate what you didn't fight for!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
