Question: Ladies how is your self worth!?
I know a girl who had her boobs done because she was on a drug when she was little and they didn't grow much!.
She is a beautiful girl even as her former A cup!. She insisted she needed bigger breasts to feel like a woman!.

Would you surgically change something on your body/face and why!? or why not!?

note: I put this under philosophy/humanities because I do believe it's a philosophical problem!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think "self worth" is oversimplifying!. Being the ego of a sexual female creates a slow motion, long term crisis of insecurity that we have to somehow resolve, preferably completely and in young adulthood!. When we do, stuff like enlarging our breasts by putting blobs of plastic under our skins could hardly make us feel more womanly!. But in crisis, I think it is a normal human response to try things that are somewhat self-destructive if we believe that they can save us!. Right now fascist aesthetics combined with gender role disintegration means it's harder than ever for young women to hold their own, IMO - there are just so few expressions of "out of the box" points of view on it, and these are denigrated!.

Anyway, no, I wouldn't want to "improve" anything by surgical violence to my healthy normal flesh!. I might be tempted, if I had the resources, to "fix problems" like scars from acne, or my herniated navel from pregnancy, mostly because they are a habitual distraction and I find myself too egoistic to train myself out of "I wish !.!."-ing!. To me, it's hard to define how that's different from whitening your teeth with those strips !.!.!. or, how about wearing lipstick!? There is a gray area of what is artifice and what is artificial!.

Things that push the body into a more conformist or more cartoon-sex-appeal appearance, like fake breasts, fake tans, veinless legs, complete absence of pubic hair, collagen-swollen lips and butts, don't even have the same appeal as youth and health alone can!. They're class signals, maybe, but not beauty!. Then again, I'm in a resource position where I can afford to go crunchy granola, too!. If I were hunting for a job to feed my kids, well !.!.!. I might feel a bit differently about the values of a pound of female flesh!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

well i will admit some thing to you, if a few years form now my breasts had a lot of stress related problems due to nursing my future kids i would definetly get a breast lift and also if there exists a non surgical way to remove stretch marks i would do it too!. but i wouldn't surgically do some thing to my self at the condition i'm in right now, the reason being that i'm comfortable with the way my body is and also 'cause i'm scared of surgery!. going under the knife for a beauty purpose isn't my style, i mean what ever pretty name they give it it's still surgery ie cutting up your body!. i'm just not willing to take that risk, and when and if i do i will make sure i have the best doctor for it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would never alter myself!. You don't feel like a woman just because you are proportioned as such [or well endowed!.] It's all in how you present yourself!. It's all in your own personal outlook!. It's all in your attitude!. You feel like a woman if you want to feel like one!. You don't feel like one just because you have been given "boobs!."
Take what you're given!. Be thankful for what you do have!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Uhm, honestly, I wouldn't wanna be complimented by someone about my beauty and respond: "Thanks to my surgeon"!. I would want to reply: "It's natural!."

I am not against those who are getting their body parts done, I mean, it boosts their confidence and it makes them happy!. And that's just great! =)

But, NOPE, I wouldn't want any of my body parts done or replaced because I am contented of it and have accepted the fact that this is what God has given me, I had to live with it!. I'm not saying "I'm miss perfect, I don't need any of these" because I am not!. I may not be that pretty and sexy, but there are just so many things in life that one ordinary person should think of aside from looking beautiful!.!.

P!.S!. Can you please answer my question too!? Thank you!.

I had my chin done!. I did it for no one but myself!. But, I would never have my boobs done!. I think too many women and girls are obsessed with their boobs these days!. If a guy likes you for your boobs, why would you want him anyway!?! I just don't understand it!. I think someone wanting to get bigger boobs should have to undergo counseling prior to being allowed to have that done!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with Brian!. You are on the wrong page!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i wasnt gonna answer!. but i just had to butt in!.

im sorry!. you said you believe this is a philosophical problem!?!? get outta here! open a real philosophy book and come back and say that!. I dont think John Locke, Immanuel Kant, David Hume, or Descartes gave a rats *** about this "philosophical" question!. its one thing to ask a question not related to philosophy at all!. happens all the time!. but dont insult the discipline by saying this is philosophy!.

edit: you are getting the colloquial term of philosophy and the academic discipline mixed up!. "It was the oil company's philosophy to make as much money as it could, blah blah!." Using the word "philosophy" in this manner doesn't mean that the worldview of the oil companies is studied in a philosophy class!. It has no more to do with philosophy than what u had for dinner last night!. This question belongs in Beauty & Style!. Im sorry!. Normally i don't even care, but im super super bored right now!. thanks for giving me someone to debate with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
