Do you think that now Philosophy is like an orange from which all the juice was extracted and what was left of it was a dried, useless shell!?

Philosophy is like an ocean!. So many ripples and waves lash the surface!. Yet some dive deep into it and come up with beautiful pearls!. It is in the discovering of the pearls that the diver is keen and he does not bother about the surface agitations !. He 'seeks" the valuables!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Philosophy is the love of wisdom, the search for truth, understanding, cognitive knowledge!. Only a food would consider it reaching an end, for it has no end!. We are ruled by a dog and a hog!. Morality and honour are not exclusive for hate and perversity rule the will of man!. One seeks an Eden, utopia, nirvana of peace and bliss to find the dog, dependent upon his hog has made its place there and it is Eden no more!.

The hungered are given plenty, but remain insatiable in their greed and lust!. The good lead happy moral lives of abstinence and are plagues and tormented by the dog and his hog!. The truly wise know there is no way out of this hell!. If one is moral and exemplary one is plagued by the hog, and if one is decadent and malevolent the dog tortures and banishes to hell!.

Indeed you are right, the best a man can do for his progeny is not to create at all, or curse his soul to lifetime following lifetime of toil, suffering and battle or am existence of mundane, banal mediocrity!.!.!.

G The Greeks are pretty well wrung out!. The Indians with their Hinduism are caught up in an amazingly intricate web of contradictions!. Southern Buddhism is lost in time and seclusion!. The Tibetans aren't even really Buddhists, just king worshipers!. The Sicks have too much war and psychic downtrodeness!. The Sufis are hated by other Muslims!. Those who study philosophy are perpetually engaged in asking, answering, and arguing for their answers to life’s most basic questions!. To make such a pursuit more systematic academic philosophy is traditionally divided into major areas of study!.
Is there a God!?
What is truth!?
What is a person!? What makes a person the same through time!?
Is the world strictly composed of matter!?
Do people have minds!? If so, how is the mind related to the body!?
Do people have free wills!?
This is a study of Metaphysics!.
But we have more:
We have Epistemology is the study of knowledge!.
What is knowledge!?
Do we know anything at all!?
How do we know what we know!?
Can we be justified in claiming to know certain things!?
And we havet he study of ethics that often concerns what we ought to do and what it would be best to do!.
What is good!? What makes actions or people good!?
What is right!? What makes actions right!?
Is morality objective or subjective!?
How should I treat others!?
That's all!? No!. We have more!.
Another important aspect of the study of philosophy is the arguments or reasons given for people’s answers to these questions!. Logicians Questions as:
What constitutes "good" or "bad" reasoning!?
How do we determine whether a given piece of reasoning is good or bad!?
Thus, philosophical questions arise in almost every discipline!.

only the test of time can prove philosophy!. But who knows during the year 2263 somebody may have a reason to read 21st century philosophy, like John Locke (early 1700's England) when he sort of wrote the philosophy of the Declaration of Independence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
