In order to know whether something is a coincidence or not it needs to be comparable!. In relation to the universe as a whole we can never know whether its creation is a coincidence or not, because the universe is all we can know! But life on this planet we can compare it to the rest of the universe and i think that if we first think of the unlikely hood of the right conditions for life being met on this planet we might think wow how can this be just coincidence!. But then if we think about the vastness of the universe, it becomes less remarkable i think!. There are billions upon billions planets in the universe!.!.!. so yes we're lucky but i've never seen any evidence to suggest its anything more than luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. Existence of life is not a coincidence!. It has relevance to something!. We can say to any individual's past deeds!. Previous life's experiences and predetermined notions carried forward is present life!. It is as per the will of the Lord!.

May I propose a lateral idea whereby it is neither coincidence of the 'chance' category nor design of the 'creator' category!.

It does look possible that consciousness may be present in all matter and energy, but in differing degrees, so that a higher order is classified by us as life and a dormant kind of lower order as inanimate things!. In that realm of possibility, it seems very likely that life could merely be a particular equation of time and space which occurs at different places at different times!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. this would imply that in this vast universe, life ought to have existed at many other places in the past, life does exist right now in various places at probably different stages of development and life will occur at various other places in the future as well!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. in other words, time brings transformations and these transformations are occurring at differing intensity, combination and quality at different parts of space!.!.!.!.!.!. and life may well be an inevitable stage of these transformations which is attained by various parts of space at different times!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. further, there may be no reason to rule out the possibility that the inevitable stage producing life forms can even be concurrent as well at different parts of the universe!.

For an atheist, therefore, the negation of the 'creator, concept need not necessarily imply the chance or coincidence factor!. I believe it is!. In one section of the sky there are ~200 billion galaxies, in each of those ~200 billion stars!. Each star has a chance to have a planet within the same proximity as we are to ours!. Even if only one star out of the 200 billion per galaxy has a planet like ours, there is a chance of life!. Life isn't guaranteed, the coincidence is that we happened to inhabit this planet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think it is,I can understand atoms coming together to form molecules but life is something way beyond that!.I mean how does something like atoms form molecules and then somehow those molecules come together to from life!.

There is no such thing as "coincidence"!. Not such thing as luck either, but I do believe in ironies, however our lives are not in that category!. We exist in this life to "love" and there is no coincidence about that at all!.
