My definition of success would be to achieve everything I want to achieve!. But I don't think success just has to be about achieving your own goals, I think success can also be about helping other people achieve their goals!. I suppose for example if you had a burning desire to win a race and you tried your hardest but didn't win you would say that you were unsuccessful!. But I think that success is such an overrated word and it still needs to be used to explain the small victories, even if you try and don't win!. Because the point is at least you got there and gave it your all and if you can realise that you accomplished that, then you can see that as successful!. I believe that success is all based around the individual person and each person has there own ideas and opinions on what they need to do in their life to make one thing or another successful!. So my definition of success is to accomplish your own goals no matter how big or small they seem to other people, because to you the thing you want to achieve means a lot more than how other people view it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That is a great answer and I want that too but must all success be materialized!? Of course it feels great when you accomplish or achieve your goal heck you worked hard for it right!? So why shouldn't you consider yourself successful!? I know that there are people out there who work extremely hard to get what they want in life whether it is a personal achievement or a material achievement and they deserve a great outcome but then there are others that let their ambition turn into greed for example they might use people as their foot stools and then when they are on top they forget that person they used so is their outcome truly that they have reached success!? I believe not, why because success should lead you to happiness with a clean conscience and you should always stay humble in everything you do because you never know how long your success will last!. Success should be happy and should be reached with integrity, dignity, and respect for yourself and others!. If all those are checked off then I believe you have truly succeeded! I always thought that definition of success was about having to drive the most expensive car, getting to cancel your 5 star hotel reservation because you had a trip to Rome and that you get to be featured an magazines!.!.

But as I grew, I can see that people who live in glamorous life like Britney and Lindsay Lohan aren't actually successful because they never find contentment and never become truly happy!.!.

Most of the time success is money, career, fame or possession!.

Success in my view has nothing to do with achieving our objectives!.!.!.!.!. an essential element in success is what others think about us!.!.!.!.!.!. it is simply that which makes others envious of us!.

Accordingly, my aim is to be happy doing as little as possible!.!.!.!.!.!. not to be 'bound' by anything as far as possible!.!.!.!.!.!. I have observed that such a state of freedom is what gets envied the most by others!.

Life is already so very stressful and one's sanity is so very essential, so i would treat success and happiness with much caution!.

First i would not compare the most successful celebrity or uber-wealthy business person with my lot!. So long as i have done better than my parents or grandparents, in terms of education, life-style and the ability to help others, i shall be satisfied!. It would be a crazy venture to try to become the wealthiest, most popular, or most powerful person in the country or the world!. There would be so much stress involved, probably even losing friends and relatives in your relentless race to reach the top, that one's health and well-being would be seriously affected!. I think life would be very meaningless, just to chase the top dollar, or the top rung!. I will be happy and successful if i own a small house, a small eco-friendly vehicle to run around with, enough money to eat two meals a day, have weekend beers, and to go occasionally for an overseas holiday!.
