Question: Why do people use the term "mistake" to descibe humans!?
You always hear "i make mistakes, I'm human" all the time, as though being human itself is just plain negativity!. But i also think that people using that card, use it for everything!. Mistakes are supposed to be unintentional, and most people use it when what they did was purely intentional!. Example: my friend cheated on his gf, he told her he made a mistake!. But how can that be a mistake when he knew what he was doing was wrong and that the outcome [if she stayed or left] would be the same, her getting hurt!. That is completely different from someone making a math error or misspelling a word!. Do you think that people are just getting too lazy and using the word "mistake" to justify everything that they do wrong!. And why is making a "mistake" on purpose human!? Are all humans only seen in a negative light!? how come when soemthing good happens when don't say that we're human!? Like "I got an A in math, I'm only human"!. Why does it have to be negative!? why do we portray ourselves like this!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The mistake is getting caught! People say they make mistakes and are imperfect because others are more sympathetic to those attributes!. It is entirely manipulative!. If I told you that I did bad thing #4,573 in order to take advantage of you, to make money, or just to be mean and Ha Ha to you because I nearly got away with it!.!.!.Then you won't forgive me as quickly, and I won't be able to do it to you all over again!.

If someone catches me doing wrong, then if I agree it was wrong and whether or not it was a mistake or if I was being malicious, then I should say that I AM SORRY!. That is all!. Anything else is just prolix, justification, weasling!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It can easily be used as an excuse to avoid taking responsibility for yourself, as you point out!. Responsibility itself is loaded with negative connotations, but it simply means 'the ability to respond!.

Genuine mistakes are almost always acknowledged in hindsight as you gain understanding about the 'error' and how it happened or what caused it in the first place!. The "I'm only human" phrase is often a cop-out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Everybody makes mistakes, it's only human", does sound better that "Oh crap! I'm such a moron!" Www@QuestionHome@Com

people say that just because it is a classic excuse

I always remind myself that people rarely remember the right things i done, but they always talk about my mistake
