ONE CAN CHOOSE TO USE OR REJECT INFORMATION!. TO ACT OR REACT BASED ON WHAT THEY KNOW!. DENYING INFORMATION ELIMINATES THE CHOICE!. I WOULD RATHER HAVE A CHOICE!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes in some contexts!. If you deny giving someone life saving knowledge clearly you have committed a wrong!. But imagine giving a widow at the end of life the knowledge that her late husband committed adultery!. What good have you done!? If you're giving information just to prove your superior understanding over another when you know the information is emotionally & personally harmful it is wrong!. This principle, of course, does not apply in the arena of ideas!. Someone may find the theory of evolution emotionally upsetting but their emotions are not justification for not discussing it!. The only knowledge that is bad to give someone is information that would personally harm them either emotionally or otherwise!. Additionally it would be wrong to pass on information about another if it would harm them unless you're trying to stop them from committing harm!. Example: Telling a little child that Santa Claus doesn't exist just for the sake that you feel superior!. Outing someone as gay if they are not out!. Telling a nazis in world war 2 were a jew is hiding!. The morality of telling or giving information to another always is decided by context!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on the situation and what would classify as "knowledge!." For the most part, denying information is worse!. I can't think of any example where I have had "knowledge forced on me" where I thought it was negative!. But I have had knowledge denied to me many times and it is almost always negative!. To deny someone the knowledge they need to make informed decisions would be the worse option!. As for forcing knowledge on people, I would have said that was pushing propaganda, and by it's very nature less likely to be acted upon!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
