So many of the man made recreational drugs had beginnings as tools to help in some way & along the way became abused by man to become ferocious appetites of their own!. You are correct a thing in itself is neither good or bad, but we have great capacity to hurt ourselves & others with misuse & poor judgment!. I agree with the statement made!. A drug itself cannot be moral or immoral because morality derives from two things: awareness and choice!. A drug is not sentient, it has no concept or right and right nor can it choose between them!. The problem comes when people abuse drugs!.
