Question: Very confusing question, kinda funny though!.!?
If you drill a hole thought the earth (assuming that the earth was not filled with lava and molten rock at hight temperatures) and drop a ball though, what will happen!?how does gravity play a part on this!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

it would stay in the center of the earth!.

Since gravity pulls everything to the center of the earth already, without a hole we stay on the surface!. with a hole going all the way through the ball will just stay in the center and not come out the other side!.

Does that make sense!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Gravity is a force that works between all matter - accordingly, the ball would fall through the earth and continue with the momentum of the fall past the centre of the earth until or unless the gravitational force between the mass of the earth was sufficient to slow the fall!. That is assuming that the ball was not attracted to the sides of the hole by the mass on either side (which should be an equal force if the planet was spherical)!.

Suffice to say, the ball would fall one way then slow down and fall the other way until it reached centre!. Alternatively, if gravity was not sufficient to stop the momentum of the ball then it would fall all the way through the planet!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Gravity would push it down to the center of the earth, and momentum would carry it a bit further!. Then, it would reverse directions, and do the same thing!. It would keep doing this for a long time, the distance of travel before reversal getting smaller each time, eventually stopping in the core!. (This is assuming, of course, that the friction doesn't make it go BOOM)Www@QuestionHome@Com

would think that it would be like a swinging ball!. It would go pass the middle point and return pass the middle point until momentum made it stop in the middle, do to gravity!.!.!.

Thats my best guessWww@QuestionHome@Com

according to this cartoon i watched, the ball would end up in China, then a cat would catch the ball, wearing one of those funny hats and throw it back!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it would get pulled to the center of the earth, keep going, and come back!. it will repeat this process for a while!. then, eventually, it would stop in the dead center of the earthWww@QuestionHome@Com

I haven't the slightest clue, some people said gravity would pull it to the center!. but no way to tell for sure since it isn't possible to do it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

wtf get high and walk on the beach!?!? lol ya know its fun!!! surfs up sweetheart get a heart!

and no dummy there is holes in the earth called volcanos they do explode sometimes tho graviity keeps everything inside and keeps pressure on it dugWww@QuestionHome@Com

that is an odd question!. it would probably get pulled to the centre of the earth, that is the most logical thought!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If the earth were not full of lava and molten rock, there would be no gravity to speak of, and hence no earth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think it'ss stay in the center of the earth!.

it'ld make sense!.
the gravity would be pulling on both ends holding the ball in place!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
