Question: A question for those who aren't bored with attempting to determine the incomprehensible!. For the brave ones!!?
Whether you are a creationist, and evolutionist, an absurdist, a nihilist, a pessimist, optimist, homogonist, rapist, or an insensible rock; it stands to sensible reason you exist, or if you are an absolute skeptic unconvinced that you exist for certain, you seem to be aware of a sense of doubt regarding your existence, which although does not constitute proof of it, is a strong enough indicator that you do exist as to warrant your at least considering the possibility that you do!.

All that out of the way, we have two likely scenarios to justify our existence; and by "our" I do mean anything at all, not simply human organisms!. (If I am missing a third/more alternative/s, by all means, speak up, that is what I'm hoping for!.)

First that things have always existed!. Everything/anything at all has always been, forever, eternally back in time, or sideways, or around, or through time-dilation and interwoven amidst however many multiple dimensions you scientists may plan to teach me about in regard to how things couldn't have always existed since always implies a temporal timeline which may not be representative of reality as it truly is!.!.!.bla bla!. Either way, in some "time" or some variation of perpetuation of substance through space, things are, and this scenario tells us that that has simply always been the case!.

In this first scenario, God may or may not exist as far as we currently have proven, and may or may not be the Christian or Muslim or Wiccan version/s thereof, or may be this higgs-boson vacuum fluctuation rendering energy into matter!. The question is, if this is the case, how can cause and effect break down to yield an effect, namely that we exist, in the absence of a cause, namely a beginning to the universe; ie, a big bang or a let there be light, or a series of big bangs over x amount of years which, when traced back, expose us to no initial moment or cause!?

The second scenario is equally incomprehensible, and that is quite obviously, the creation of the universe from nothingness!. Whether you want to say there is no God, and that the big bang started everything or whether you want to say God set off the big bang or God did it in 168 hours over the course of a week, or whatever you want to say, bare nothing still had to create something!. In this scenario, God didn't exist at some point or at some time, but then created him/itself out of the apparently somehow "existing" nothingness, or from the non-existing nothingness! And then the question is, how would something like that be accomplished!?

If, finally, your answer to this is along the lines of "Nobody can answer these age old questions, and you are just rewording debates man has been having for thousands of years and no one will ever with a finite human mind be able to determine how existence initially came into being, or for that matter whether it will remain in existence ad infinitum," then isn't it easier to assume that such miraculous realities such as our being alive today are the result of some higher order of being, or if not being, than of a higher order which is able to function outside of, and irrespective of the laws of physics since bare nothing instantiating matter/energy without having any to initially work with defies about every law of physics we have!? God, whatever that is, seems to be the most scientific and logical explanation doesn't it!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not so brave, but here goes!.
Whew, Best question ever! I have had nigglings in my mind of these comments & questions for years, I always wonder if I was wrong to be questioning my own existence & the reason I am here!.I look at an ant & wonder if there is a being looking down on us the same way!.
Are we on a huge stage, being directed for some unknown story line!.
I am an over analyzer, It makes me crazy not to be able to understand, or comprehend things!.
I was often told we were not meant to understand the questions & statements you have asked!.We were to accept & go on blind faith!.
also our minds would not be able to accept the answers to our questions!.
We could get the answers, but go insane once we got what we requested, therefore we would be nothing more than a mere babbling idiot, after finding the answers to the beginning of everything, we would not be able to let anyone else know!.!.
I also read astrology to try to find an acceptable reason for things!.(nothing yet)
So for now we just keep asking, reading, digging & hope to find the key that unlocks all of life's mysteries!.( A Pandora's Box!?!?) I am done babbling, I may not have been able to get my comments across properly, but you have given me more to research and look into!.!.!.!.!.!.I am what is called a cafeteria Catholic: I choose what I pretty much want to believe and follow, gets harder all the time!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Below is a link I am trying to cipher!.

Tuition money well spent!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

when i looked at how long this was I started laughing hysterically, do you really expect me to read all of this!.!.!. *laughs* well then your an absurdist because I'm not lol!. Anyway to answer your question!.!. I believe there is a God because when good things happen I feel him there, He gives me what I ask for and in return just live by his rules, and work hard for what i want he isn't just going to hand it to me on a silver plate but he gives me the oppurtunity for me to have what I want!.

He is not imaginary he is there he loves everyone he helps out even those who don't believe and he is forgiving god too!.!.!. I know this and Im only 13Www@QuestionHome@Com

I do have a third option, but one you probably will not like!. I believe that our human minds and in all of our humanity, we are but limited to certain scopes of logic, rationalizations, reasoning's, deductions, etc!. The third option I propose is that there is a very real answer to these questions, but it is beyond our scope of understanding and comprehension to even formulate the ideas or concepts!. Sometimes when one sees through a peephole, it is impossible to get the whole of a concept/ picture!. It is as equally detrimental to have the beginnings of an idea already in place, a starting point- if you will, if it is in the complete and opposite direction of where one should start!. I think we will either never know the answers to these questions or it will take a large amount of evolution on our part plus a radically new theory!.

also, they are now proving nothingness does not exist!. Even in nothingness there is something (dark matter, for example)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I never tire of these questions and I thank you for posting one here once again!. The Bible speaks to these timeless issues which infers that man too has had your same questions for thousands of years!. So it is not a new question under the sun!.

Isaiah 29:16 New International Version (NIV) God is speaking

You turn things upside down,
as if the potter were thought to be like the clay!
Shall what is formed say to him who formed it,
"He did not make me"!?
Can the pot say of the potter,
"He knows nothing"!?

Isaiah 45:9 (NIV)

9 "Woe to him who quarrels with his Maker,
to him who is but a potsherd among the potsherds on the ground!.
Does the clay say to the potter,
'What are you making!?'
Does your work say,
'He has no hands'!?

Dictionary!.com defines a potsherd this way!. "a broken pottery fragment, esp!. one of archaeological value!."

I think for you and I to be born we acknowledge without hesistation that we began our life here on this earth as a result of "cause and effect"!. That is because all of us had parents and we exist because of their relationship!. Or for othes that there was a relationship between a man and a woman that brought them here into this world!. No one can deny this truth at all!. Yes the close to seven billion people that live here on this earth I would wager that 100% of them got here this way!. And it was true for the untold millions that lived before our time as well!. Save only three!. But then those three had the same ultimate cause while the rest of us had our parents who are descendants of the first man and woman!. Those are very high odds for cause and effect!.

Genesis 1:1 (NIV)

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth!.

Again this speaks of cause and affect!. This verse describes a fact that both the earth and the heavens or the universe itself had a beginning!. Science has only been a recent discipline of man that has enabled him to study the universe around him!. And only in the past 100 years has the scientific community confirmed that indeed the universe and the earth had a beginning!.

Only recently has "cause and effect" been attacked by a new religion called humanism!. This relgion seeks to put man as saviour and only he can save himself!. Man alone can explain the universe but a world view with God cannot!.

Humanist Manefesto 1
FIRST: Religious humanists regard the universe as self-existing and not created!.

Humanist Manefest 2 lists the many types of humanists

Many kinds of humanism exist in the contemporary world!. The varieties and emphases of naturalistic humanism include "scientific," "ethical," "democratic," "religious," and "Marxist" humanism!. Free thought, atheism, agnosticism, skepticism, deism, rationalism, ethical culture, and liberal religion all claim to be heir to the humanist tradition!. Humanism traces its roots from ancient China, classical Greece and Rome, through the Renaissance and the Enlightenment, to the scientific revolution of the modern world!.

The choice is simple for me!. And for me I know based on man's past history of violence and warfare that man does not know all the answers in the world to save himself!. Instead he will forever remain a child to the ancient wisdom that is found only in God who created all things for man to enjoy and that allow him to survive on this earth!. And that allow him to worship his creator in love and intelligence and hope!.

I hope this gives you something to think about!. Later!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The universe had a definable beginning and (since I don't believe there is enough matter to cause a great contraction) it will have no end, which implies that at some point the conditions for life will no longer exist, making it incidental in the history of the universe!. That's the way it goes!. BOKO!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My faith in God is not based on 'logic' or 'reasoning'!.
Its just faith!. Valuable knowledge in my book! =)
I guess you know that there will never be one straight answer that answers it all! but yeah, this is just for the sake of it!.
Well, my input is that was a good read and I'll be interested in what other people say!. Oh and even if man 'prooved' that there was no God or something, I'd still believe so strongly!. Its a whether I like it or not thing, ya know!? but well of course, I'm so glad I'm a believer!!
I'd just like to point that out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
