Question: Do you think that earth itself is a life!?

I think earth is a life,and we all male are a white cells & female are red cells !.i have a lot of comparison between human body & and earth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

red cells and white cells are two completely different things you know!. are you a very gender-biased person!?

what do you mean by a living thing!?

life and consciousness are two completely different things!.

we are alive!. we have both dead and living components to our bodies, as does the earth!.

but we also think!. we are conscious beings as a whole!. the earth is not!. it is a congregation of many conscious things, but not conscious itself!.

so you can call the earth 'alive' but it becomes a totally different thing when you ask if it's conscious!. then it depends on your personal religious beliefs!.

you could compare the living earth to the human body, relate different things, animals, plants to different tissues and cells of the body but that doesn't necessarily make it true, you know!. because their only finding a slight similarity among millions of differences - a human nature to find associations!.
and you can find a lot of "comparison" between the human body and anything in the world - a marshmallow - for example, if you try hard enough!. Or something that you know for sure is not alive!. Like a shoe!.
Does that mean the human body is not alive!? Because you could compare it to something that is dead for sure!?

and the entire theory about everything being a small part of something else - it's very plausible!. But when you bring "life" into it it again becomes a question between life and consciousness!. which one is it that you want to concentrate on!?
an amoeba is alive but it isn't conscious!. Like a virus!. higher animals like humans are conscious!. we can think!. we are aware!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The life in a place (earth) is all the activities that go on there!.

Ive never thought of it but yes!.!.!.!.I suppose it is!.It must be!.Plants are life they grow!.!.!.the earth moves and life lives on it and things grow on it!. First answer: What is life!? When I sit in the Caribbean on the beach and watch the waves move in and out, sway the leaves back and forth on a tree and listen to the world around me, it very much feels alive!. But then it's all based on motion, harmony and balance!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Gaia movement seems to think so!. There is some evidence to that!. Maybe it is a matter of not being so arrogant to think that humans are the only life that matters!. Long after humans are gone, life will go on in this planet--eventually!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
