In the 70's there was a large push to solve "AI", but all of the attempts failed, and now computer scientists switched to specialized intelligence!. Basically the focus shifted to making a computer intelligent in a focused area of intelligence like face recognition or chess programs!. The AI community refers to human like AI to be "strong AI!." I think that this shift in focus has delayed the creation of strong AI, although they are much closer than they were!. You should take a look at the "Alice" sometime!. Alice is a bot that will chat with you and is fairly remarkable!.

I have spend many long hours studying and contemplating AI and there are a few things that I have come to a solid conclusion!. I am sure that it is possible for us to create AI, and I firmly believe that the computers we have now are capable of Intelligence!. It will take the right idea!. I'm a bit surprised that we haven't come up with it already!. If someone else doesn't beat me to it, I am confident that I will create human like intelligence within a computer in the next ten years!. I am employed as a senior software developer in C#!. Once I was exposed to software development at an early age I learned that any logical process can be done on a computer!.
