You're in a room with three light switches, each of which controls a light in three separate rooms!. Once you leave the switch room you cannot go back inside, but you are only allowed into each of the other rooms once!. How do you know which switch turns on which light!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

First you turn on one of the switches and don't enter the room for sometime, till the light inside is heated up!. Then switch that light off, and then turn the second one on and enter the room!. The one heated up (feel by hand) is the first switch that was turned on, the one glowing is the second switch turned on and the remainder not hot nor light up is the third switchWww@QuestionHome@Com

By which switches are on (which conventionally means in the up position but which is neglected here) and by which lights are on!. I would know before I left the "switch room" and would not need to enter the other rooms because I could simply look into them (or can't I, logicians would like to know these things)!. Otherwise, I would flip 2 up, 1 down, and assume (if I may) that the wiring corresponds, that is, the switch to the right goes to the room on the right!. Are there anymore variables omitted from your question I missed!? I assume also that the switch room continues to exist after I have left it!. But, really, it doesn't exist at all: You just made it up!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Open the doors of the three rooms, leave a video cam on the front wall of each doors!. Go inside the switch room with your surveillance teevo, and turn each switch and observe on your teevo which room is lit when the certain switch is turned on!. And oh, don't forget to label them so you won't have to be bothered the next time!.!. See!? You only went once in the switch room and as well as on the three other rooms!. Bwahahaha!!

Hey marc, i like your questions, i answered like three questions of yours hoping i'd guess the answers right!. Can you do me a favor and send me the answers!? Pleeeeease!.!. It would be fun if i can share these to my friends!. =) Thank you!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Turn one of the switches on!. leave it on for a few minutes!. turn it off, turn a second switch on and go into the room!. Two bulbs are dark, one is on!. You know which switch that bulb goes to, it's the one that's on!. Of the two dark bulbs, one is still hot to the touch!. Now you know what switch THAT one goes to!. The first switch you turned on!. by elimination, the third switch belongs to the one that never went on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Turn one light on!. Leave it on for a while!. Then switch it off and turn on another!. The first switch controls the light that is off but hot!. The second controls the light that is on!. The third controls the light that is off and coolWww@QuestionHome@Com

There is a logical method of doing this!. I remember hearing this question in college, however the easiest way would be to simply leave the doors open to the rooms that you enter and watch from the light-switches :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

maybe one of the rooms is the swith room so you could turn them on and off till you found the one that controls your room and then turn on one other light and walk till you find it, assuming that the dark room is the swith you left off and the 2nd lit room is the room you switched on!.!.

or, maybe there's a door leading out into one of the other rooms so you wouldn't have to leave the room to see if the switch controled that room, and or the room you are in and then go deductive on the others

maybe you could phone a friend to check out the other rooms!. you can use cellphones in this hypothetical right!?

maybe you could ask this hypothetical question in rooms constructed of transparent glass, please!?

make sure they are labled before you agree to take the test!?

there are a lot of answers :P but i don't think i win this assignment :(

go by heat of the bulb bulb on the 3rd light!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
