When you can no longer be an autonomous individual in any regards!. Notice I said, in any regards, meaning its a matter of degree!. If you need help to walk, etc!., that's fine but if you have gotten to the point that you can enjoy nothing because you have no autonomous action at all then its time to go!. For some this will be when they can't walk, can't smell the flowers, can't stand, can't use ones hands, and for some it will be only when they can't think!. The cruelty of life is some shall live past this point!. May we all be lucky enough to hope that is not us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I think around 82 to 85!. You would get to see your grandkids but not have to hobble around for too much longer!.

I have a lot of long life genes in my family and it looks painful!. My great-grandma died at 103 when I was 13!. Another GG died at 92!. One of my grandmas is still alive, and she's 95!. It was interesting until she hit about 90!.!.!. now it's like, come on there's nothing left to talk about!. She can't really get around, it seems boring!.

Unfortunately I'm 40 and in stellar health!. I'll probably be cursed with living to 100!. I try to drink and smoke and eat sausage but it doesn't seem to work!. I can't gain weight and the doctor always says i'm doing great!. What the heck am I going to do between 85 and 100!? That's 15 years of sitting around!!! how horribly boring!.

The only way I can see that it would be worthwhile is if my stock investments multiply so that i'm a billionaire, and i have my granddaughters friends over to sunbathe by my pool!. I could probably do that for a couple of years!.

My other plan is to become a sky-diving nutcase!. At age 85, I'm going to begin performing the most dangerous stunts from the sky!. If I live, it will be thrilling, and if i die, who cares!Www@QuestionHome@Com

You shouldn't welcome it at any time, you should live life to the fullest and not wait for death when you turn 65 like someone above said!. If you're healthy you can live until you're over 110, it all depends!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
