Question: At what age, does a person become aware of their existence!?
We remember memories when we are young, some pictured clearly and others blurry!.

But when we are at a young age, when do we really start to realize that we have an existence on this planet called Earth!. That everyone around us is living and moving on our own accord, not programmed like a robot!.

I suddenly thought about this and found that this question was so complex yet so easy in a way that I couldn't explain, so I wanted to hear everyone's opinions and thoughts!.

I think it depends on several factors, perhaps the most important of which is education!.!.!.but not only the one provided by schools- I'm talking about a much more spherical knowledge!.

It usually takes a lot for one to realize the responsibility that their existence imposes!.!.!.You have to be aware of the impact your decisions have on the world- yourself, other people, the environment, etc!.

And since most people are not really called to make important decisions since they are 18 (or perhaps a little earlier), I'm inclined to say that the sooner a person learns to act independently, the more possible it is for them to be aware of their existence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think the awareness you are talking about is when we step out of our personal bubble and start to see the world, the people in it, and what we are in relation to the world!.

I loved astronomy from a very young age!. As early as six or seven, and I remember reading up about it a lot, with my for-kids version of these books!. That's when I learned how infinitesimally small I was, how little we all were, and that there are Bigger Things Out There!.

I remember thinking about others much later, when I was 11!. I stopped thinking about myself for a change, because I knew other people out there were having trouble of sorts and that I should help if I can!. At that time I was thinking about my classmates and their social problems, and was sort-of well-known in my class as the "advice-giving" classmate!. :p

I am a female, by the way, and you know what they say about girls maturing faster than boys, so, I'm not exaggerating the age stops!. What good would that do to me!? =pWww@QuestionHome@Com

memory and awareness are distinct!. baby are self-aware, just no memories to recall anything at a later time!. memories kicks in about age 3!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
