When all hopes come to an end, one can find no meaning for life!. In such a situation, more than the fear of death, it is the fear to live alone and abandoned!. So you see, fear is naturally associated with abscence of hope!. In other words, they are mutually resiprocal!. Lack of fear on the other hand may be a desperate bid to regain trust, faith and hope, to retrieve the true meaning of life!. And the true meaning is to fight till the end and never to admit loss of hope!. After all, life is meant to be a positive attitude and you get only a life time to enjoy the vast potential and happiness that life contains!. So, in the most adverse situation, let there be courage, let lack of fear overcome lack of hope to make life joyful!.

Feelings or emotions in the absence of facts is never good, or never adequately!. The negater for fear is confirmation of satisfaction!.

I would say the lack of fear but define it differently!. Fear is natural and normal but it should not allow that emotion to paralyze us so that we become passive to our circumstances and do nothing!.

I think faith is the better word you are looking for and that is spelled out in Hebrews 11!. For in the faith scenarios mentioned there people have no reason to hope at all!. There is nothing worldly they have the right to at all other then their clinging to a belief!.

And that is the story of all human history from many past civilizations that have come and gone!. That shows that nothing lasts forever!. Not only when that civilization and that person existed but long after it disappeared!. What remained was the testimony of who they were and what they believed in and that motivated them to lives with real accomplishments all based on their faith about their life and their hope for the future!.
