It is interesting to note that PHD, the degree, is a Doctor of Philosophy!. In the philosophically arena falls Philosophy of: science, art, aesthetics, psychology, metaphysics, numbers, mathematics, logic, language, the mind, and lots of other subjects!. So, what is philosophy: It is the study of the fundamentals of a field of interest!. Philosophy looks at what are the most basic underpinnings of a field of study upon which all knowledge of the field is based!. For many of us, the ordinary empirical world works well and we do not need to know things, like the difference between Newtonian physics and Einstienian physics!. But to philosophers the differrences are critical!.Www@QuestionHome@Com If there were no philosophy, we would all be robots with no imagination!. We all have ideas, many being different!. Without "why", or "how", there would be no real meaning in life!. We are all here to try to figure out why we are here!.
