Question: Trying to prove the existance of God through science!.!.!.!?

Do you think this is ethical!? I was reading this book, (Skeptoid - Brian Dunning) and he raised the idea that trying to prove the existence of God (people trying to find the remains of Noah's Ark etc) isn't right as it removes faith!. Trusting blatant scientific fact or 'proof' isn't the same as trusting in a God!. Where would you draw the line!? Do you think any argument's for the existence of God are unethical!? Pascal's Wager, The argument from design!? Are they unethical because they try to reason for a belief in God, is this better or worse than having blind faith!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's not the charge of religion to prove things but it is the charge of science!. So if God is to be proved or disproved it falls on science to do so!.

The religionists starts with a belief which becomes faith!. Just what is required for all mortals who wish eternal life !. We are created as faith Sons and it is by faith that we become spirit!.There is no other way for mortals on this planet to ascend to the spirit reality!.

Belief has attained the level of faith when it motivates life and shapes the mode of living!. The acceptance of a teaching as true is not faith; that is mere belief!. Belief in any given definition of God is a guess at best assuming the definition is not provably false!.

Belief in any definition of God that has been proven false by science is called superstition!. Trying to find evidence for false beliefs is futile unless it leads you to the conclusion that your beliefs are false!.

People of faith want to find evidence for their beliefs because it tells them they are special for guessing correctly about God!.

The desire to find evidence to support religious guesses is not unethical any more so than any scientist wanting to find evidence for his latest theory!.

I don't think trying to prove god's existence with science is unethical-silly maybe, but not unethical!. Finding remains of "Noah's Ark" will not by itself prove god exists any more than the Bible or the Shroud of Turin does!.

Science says nothing about god or the supernatural!. Science relies on observable evidence that is testable, verifiable, and falsifiable!. Scientific experiments need to be repeatable and able to make predictions about any future results obtained!. Since god is apparently beyond the realm of observable, testable, verifiable and falsifiable, how could any experiment be constructed to objectively say one way or the other if in fact god does exist!? It can't!.

The best science can do is explain the world around us in natural terms and thus render god un-needed and improbable!.

Science and God go hand in hand, because if he exists and he created the world then he would have had to come up with all the laws of Physics and the rules of gravity! i mean if you think about it there are scientific facts stated in the bible(the book of God) that if you really belive in it were never discoverd until centurys later!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I find that religious people are usually AFRAID people! They are afraid to question anything that their religion tells them!. In many ways science shows us that there PROBABLY is a God!. Try discussing what science knows to religious people, and they get angry and do not want to discuss it!.

he had said that,how it can be possible that metaphysical things like god and soul can have a logical explanation" how they can be proved through reason!? they are beyond our physical and mental perception!.

2 great german philosopher kant had said,my mind will work on only three things,mattar,space and causilty,he belive in god and prove it through moral arguement,he was against all arguemts like design argument,cosmological arguement etc!.

3 design argument,cosmological arguemt are logical and they have importance,they are not unethical at all,i perosnally belive in both the arguemnts!.how anyone can call them unethical!? those philosophers tries there best to prove these arguements through there reasons!.
but they are just agruments,they are not any empirical,logical evidence for the existence of god,they are based on hypothesis and inference!.

5 think logically that if you will make a thing,a machine,or computer,it will work only that much,how much it is programmed according to its capicities,in the same way if god exist and god had made us,that he had programmed us in that way,we cant able to know about him,he is above our mental perception,he had hide himself i think so!.
