Is it IMMORAL YES!?
Thanks so much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
To cure disease in humans scientist are required to conduct experiments on humans!. Most cures tackles the symptoms rather than pinpoint cause and seek to eradicate the source and core!.

Experiments upon animals haven’t yielded any notable success and cause undue violation of an innocent animal!. Stem cell research seeks upon this logic, to create human cells for scientists to find ways of manufacturing tissues for many uses amongst one being the curing or rather avoidance of disease!.

For years scientist experimented upon rats and vermin to find cures for humans!. I laughed and wondered what on earth would rats and humans have in common, little did I know what I know now!. Dare I say these rats were whitewashed to make them aesthetically more appealing although they remained rats in nature nonetheless!.

Indeed, JL, It is decidedly immoral !.!.!.

Animal experimentation has helped both humans and other animals greatly!. It is criminal to want to ban something that has saved millions of lives and prevented much needless suffering among both humans and other animals!. PETA did succeed in cutting off much funding of the March of Dimes that has helped so many people!. The co-founders of PETA both have expressed agreement with such terrorist groups as ALF and given money to ALF people being tried for terrorist acts!. Now that 9is what is really IMMORAL! Records show that PETA has killed 98% of the animals placed in its care, while the Virginia SPCA only killed 2% of the ones in its care!. PETA is just an elaborate con game that brought in thirty million dollars in 2007!. PHILOSOPHY is from two Greek words meaning Love of Wisdom, so you should know the truth about animal rights activists before you repeat their rhetoric!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Years ago i would have said a straight NO, however, since my daughter developed diabetes at the age of 10 years old (insulin dependent), i have changed my mind!. An experiment was done in the 1920's on dogs (which is not very nice i know), and because of this experiment they now have the use of insulin for diabetics, without which, they would die slowly!. I am against doing experiments on large animals really, i dont mind them using rats and mice especially if they find a cure for something like alzheimers!. Although, on saying this, just because it might cure a rat or mouse, doesn't necessarily mean it would work on humans because the physiology is different!. It is wrong in most respects to use animals for our purposes, however, we wouldn't have half the medications and medicines today without this research, so i am about 52 % agreeable to it, even though it is immoral to certain extents!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Vivisection is moral within limits!. It's not that we are better than other animals, or have more right to exist in the eyes of science or God!. It's just that experimentation on animals is highly useful in developing treatments to benefit the health of our fellow human!.!.!.and other animals!. And that's the most important thing!. Being deliberately cruel about it is not moral!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

NO, I am not in favour!.
For arguments sake, with all the technology we have to Day,surely there has to be a cruelty free testing method!.
Has anybody ever seen what Animals go through before
they either die in agony or are left to recover only to be tested on again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No I am not in favour, one life is no less sacred than another, no matter what type of animal they are!.!.!.and yes in the grand scheme of things humans are animals!. What makes humans think they are better than animals and therefore have the right to test on them, for human purposes!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If it is done because it is the only way to do such testing then I think that it is not immoral - given that I believe mankind is intrinsically more 'valuable' than animals!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
