Rather than just say: "Evolution", which is the answer, I would point out that we are living where we are now because that's where our parents lived too!. We haven't yet figured out how to reproduce on other planets!.

If you go far enough back, you will find that our distant predecessors came alive on this planet, thanks to the availability of the chemicals here!. Life started here, although there IS a very distant possibility that early life was spawned by a spore from outer space!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, make it other way round,why the MOTHER EARTH has given us the right to live on her gorgeous surface ! In the whole universe the word MOTHER has a unique sense!.If we go deep in pre- historic periods we will find the exact meaning of EARTH which is related to MOTHER & from that point of view one can easily find or discover, man's existence on EARTH!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
