Because immaterial substances are not made of anything, so they exist as pure actuality!. So since they are uncaused ,what led to the existence of all souls!. How can a soul cause another soul!? Doesn't that imply a contradiction!? And I also heard that souls change when the mind is fed with different things!. If souls are pure actuality how can they be subject to change!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: good night brother great question 1according to indian atheist school of philosophy carvaka,soul does not exist,mattar combine togerther to formed human body,after death everything became zero,they belive that mind consicousness as the only truth,the air,water,earth form human body in the end,they mix with it!. 2 the most important question arise at the time of alexander the great,the population of world was 300 million and now it had increased to billions from where new souls come,who made these souls,how they are uncaused!? 3 my brother great indian philosopher adi shankcharya had given a very beautiful answer to your question that how it can be possible that metaphysical things like god or soul can have logical explanation how soul is caused,how a soul can cause another soul,did they exist in pure actuality all these questions can have arguments of different thinkers but they cant have a logical explanation at all because they come under metaphysics,metaphysics are those things which are beyond physical world,god soul etc!. 4 so brother your question is great but it cant have logical explanation at all and will never be,in buddhism school of philosophy there is no soul at all,same as in carvaka school of philosophy they considered mattar as the only reality and things like soul,god are senseless and false!. i personally belive in existence of soul in delhi,a man is going to die and he was put into a jar of glass,when he die,the jar cracks down at once,so many believes that soul come out of body!. hope i answer the question to my best abilities god bless you and will give you strength power and beauty brother all the best for the futureWww@QuestionHome@Com Our souls are what we make them!.
