Perhaps the Zen approach to life in that they keep in mind that life is actually not a necessity!. It is hard to define this attitude!. It does not mean that they perceive it as worthless!. They see it as optional and if it is possible to enjoy, then it is worth living!. The only thing other than life which one might conclude is what life is a necessity for is death!. But death is nothing other than the absence of life, so since death is a void in a sense and would continue to be/not be a non-existence, then death does not require for life to be in order for it to be/not be!.

From the approach of life not being a necessity one always has that safety net so to speak which keeps one from hanging in there and trying to survive even when escape from oppression or slavery, torture, etc!. is impossible!. Of course, there can be that lingering doubt which keeps one hanging in there!. And that doubt encompasses the inclusion within one's asking oneself both why it is one exists and why it is that one is suffering!. If one cannot remember having done anything wrong which deserves this continual suffering, then one is left to conclude that this is a badly made universe and or that there is genuine evil in the world and that that evil of course is not inflicting pain because it is seeking to punish for some misdeed, but rather it has a desire to harm innocence!. So, if this is a world in which genuine evil exists and it is not possible for humanity to destroy it, then the option of escaping it due to one's realization that life is not really necessary is the best philosophy to adopt!. If you think there are not people going through a living hell right now, just go to YouTube and enter "child abuse"!. Do they deserve the torture they are going through!? Even if we have had past lives, and you conclude that they are being karmically punished, then you have to ask yourself how the guilt all got started!. At some point the perpetrater of suffering on another would have to be one who is doing harm to someone is innocent!. If every one who is harmed is considered to be guilty, then there really should not be any police force or noone should ever try to stop abuse or murder, etc!.!., including those types of actions towards even oneself!. Why stop someone from torturing or killing you if every target of destructive forces is guilty!? So, there is a simple explanation of what is faulty about the law of karma!. Sorry about seeming to stray from the point, but it is somewhat relevant in the type of world this is!.

Just as an afterthought, a world in which there is absolute innocence is difficult to imagine once one has been in this world for a sufficiently long period of time!. The callousness we develop in order to keep from being horrified all of the time tends to cause us to develop a casual acceptance of this world of good and evil as the only kind of world there could be!. Nonetheless, a world of absolute innocence seems to be the only kind of world in which there would be genuine justice!. It would be just in that evil (guilt) would not have ever entered it!. Here is my philosophy so far, not the best I'm sure:

Always remember that you are merely an individual existing in a vast universe!. Life is not a movie in which you are the star, while the rest of us are simply extras!. We all have desires and ambitions, each should be treated equally!. Protecting the environment and species should be of the utmost importance!. Humans should let Nature work things out rather than raping it for our own greedy reasons!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
