Position:Home>Philosophy> December 12 2012 world end?Question: December 12 2012 world end!? i was just watching a documentary on the "Discovery channel" and according to them there have been many prophecies all around the world during different times that all say the world is going to end on December 12 2012 does anyone actually believe this should we be worried!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

It has also been theorized that the date is actually relative, and is not specific!. Myself, personally!? I believe that society creates its own destiny!. If we do not realize the wrongs of our current lifestyle, the future looks bleak, but no - I don't accept that the world will "end" on a specific date!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Television propaganda!. Stars are not lining up, research that!. There is a slight woble of the earth which goes through a 26,000 year cycle so the Mayans noticed that and took it into account in their calendar!. Everything else beyond that is hype!. The scholar Camping has done work in Biblical Chronology, most of it is some of the best work done in the field, but he is incorrect on a few of his determinations such as 2011 as year of Judgement day, it is not that time, neither is it likely to be after that time!. I would actually be profoundly worried if Judgement day was that late, but I do not know the time!. Fact is some Christians will know the aproximate time, as was the case in Christ's first comming!. The reason why Christians know the end is near is that Jesus prophesied of the fig tree comming into leaf and that is known to be the creation of National Israel in May of 1948 when Christ is at the very gates as the Bible says, about the time of his return!. So it has been 60 years since that prophesy has been fulfilled!. Every year that goes by makes the timing of the end more likely!. The number of years will certainly be a significant number, but I am not sure what that will be!. For correct Biblical dates BC take Campings numbers and subtract not more than 7 years and not less than 4 years, somewhere in that range is the correct chronology for BC dates!. There is a way to find the complete numerical chronology all the way to the end but I do not know enough to make that determination!. I realize that this question is asked so many times that it is just more of the same silly hype, but there is at least a Biblical reconciliation of the general problem which should be taken seriously!.Www@QuestionHome@Com At one time I would have scoffed at this question!. But though the date may be wrong, the way we are using and abusing the world, it won't be far out!. All my life I have sacrificed my comfort and time to try and make this a better world for the next generation, and now despair at what they have done with it!.
