Question: Do you spend much time wondering who you are!?
You struggle with questions of purpose and need, and forget that the answers are found mostly inside yourselves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i read a book recently kind of related to this!. basically its about how we all keep looking for "happiness" and "fulfillment" in things like money, power, and prestige!.
even those of us who really believe "money doesn't buy happiness" are still anxiously awaiting a paycheck at the end of the week just like everyone else!.
we know we can't find contentment in these things, but still, we seek them anyway!. and even when we manage to get them, we continue to search for more, or for something else!. we are always searching for something!. we never stop because we never find what we need!.

the funny thing, is apparently we don't even have a clue about what we are looking for, about what we need!. so the only solution then, as he puts it, is to "seek the seeker"!.
you have to actually stop, sit, and actually take real time to come to a deep understanding yourself!.

most people contend that they know themselves perfectly well, but he argues that if that were really true, you would litterally be "happy" all the time!.

so yeah, he pretty much suggests that what you asked, we should do: "spend much time wondering who you are!." "struggle with questions of purpose and need!." "answers are found mostly inside!."

i try to do it as much as i canWww@QuestionHome@Com

I have spent more than half my life looking for an answer to this question!. However, for twenty years or more now, I have been content with the following answer (only it's a bit to long to include the whole answer here):

"And that’s why I found Buddhism so inviting!. Screw the self; according to Buddhism, the 'self' did not exist anyway!. It’s all about suffering, or so said the Buddha!. But the Buddha also said, ‘its all about escape from suffering too!. What I didn’t understand, what I still don’t understand, though, has to do with the Buddhist notion of: ‘In order to get it all, you had to give it all up,’ and further, in order to give it up, you had to know what to give up and how to do it!. All that knowing had value; Buddhism didn’t value the means like it did the ends!. Something was missing, so I went back to the drawing board, so to speak, and there discovered a different kind of self!.” Www@QuestionHome@Com

No not at all now as know who I am now and have inner contentment and found what I was looking for all my life, happiness within!. Still have my difficult times as well as my good times but know who I am and have accepted myself faults and all!. The fears I used to have are gone, am not afraid to live and be myself, if people like me good and if not let them off away as won't have the negativity in my life!. Have an inner confidence in myself and like myself!. That is the secret to forgive yourself for everything and just be content!. Great question!. :))Www@QuestionHome@Com
