What is a person!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

This depends on how you see "A Person!."

Is a person the outside skin that you visually see with your eyes!?
Or is a person the inner beauty that they project out for others to feel!?

This is the constant struggle in the world!. We are fighting our outside world ( our ego ) with the inside ( our soul )!. So many people feel like they are defined by their careers, the car they drive, or expensive stylish clothing that they wear!. All of this is the ego, feeling that it needs to prove something to the world!. This is not who we are!. We NEED to define ourselves by the inside, who we are, and how we feel about ourselves and what we have in this world!.

The body, an the outside is just a vehicle to carry our souls!. It is not who we are, and we should not base our happiness or self worth on what others think about what is on the outside!. When you are only projecting yourself to others, and they are seeing you for the person you are - your pure essence and soul!.!.!. then you must know that other people know the REAL PERSON you are, and nothing else matters!.

If your answer is only genetic think of this!. What if your brain at age twenty was successfully transplanted into an ape!. You could communicate through sign language, and appear to have kept all of your cognitive abilities and memories!. Would it be wrong to kill you!?

Your mom would miss you!?

You think that is impossible right, but there are chimps that operate at the level of a five year old!. There are developmentally disabled people that operate at the level of a five year old!.

We would all argue that a DD person operating at the level of a five year old is a person!. If cognitive ability is a primary determiner of personhood as the example above proves, should we not argue that a chimp is at least worthy of the same moral consideration aforded a person that operates at the level of a five year old!. Otherwise, I should be able to kill ape you because the thought and beliefs that you have are not enough to make you a person or at lest worthy of the moral consideration of personhood!.
You would still have the most important features of being youWww@QuestionHome@Com

just like any word, the word "person" can represent any experience you want it to represent!. to discover what experience people who speak english symbolize with the word "person", look it up in your dictionary!. But to me, the word "person" represents the experience of a life form whose life I am living!. If I am not living a lifeforms life, that means that life form is not alive, and is thus not a person at present!. But I may have lived a lifeforms life in my past, and I may live a lifeforms life in my future, and thus the life form may have been a person in the past relative to the existence of my current life, and may become a person in the future relative to the existence of my current life!. ;)Www@QuestionHome@Com
