People change!. I have changed!. Other people I know have changed!. If you are not changing, then something is wrong!. It means you're not aware of the people and the world around you!. People change in response to conflict in their life, whatever it may be!. They may grow from it, falter, or crumble!. People that don't change often have a set view on life, usually a very innacurate one!. They are afraid of things that make them uncomfortable!. Think about racism: people are racist because they believe another race is inferior to theirs!. Is that view right!? No, but they are holding fast to it, simply because it is easiest for them!. This also applies to mental illness!. Like narcissim!. Is a narcissist really as great as they believe themselves to be!? No, but is a protection from the possibility that they may be flawed, and it allows them to get through the day!.

I kind of agree with your view on why people hide who they are!. The people who hide who they really are are also the people who refuse to change!. They simply do it for the comfort and security of it!. They give up their own personality in order to have somewhere to belong, even if it is all just a facade!. They have low self esteem or self confidence!. Refusing to be as you are requires much less strength than it seems!. It is the cowards way of living and will only cause conflict down the road!.

I have completely changed!. I don't even remember who I used to be!. I was stoned and drunk and I lied and cheated and was angry at life!. Now I'm sober and healthy and thankful for many things!. Life is still hard though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the only thing that doesn't change in a person is that person's dna!. I think everything else (such as ones intelligence, ones knowledge, ones looks, and even ones desires) does change with time (for better or worse)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
