Question: If God came to you in a dream and said that you needed to change your life, would you!?
A couple of months ago, on the morning of my birthday, right before I woke up, I had an interesting dream!.
I used to belong to a Rastafarian church, for years!. I miss it, but for reasons that I won't get into now, I have drifted away!.
So, in my dream I am at a school!. The teacher tells us that we have to leave the classroom and wait outside while they try to subdue the lions!. I am waiting outside and now I have dreadlocks, like I used to, and I have my hair wrapped up in a beautiful cloth!. So do some of the other women!.
I walk around the school, waiting for the classroom to be ready, and everywhere I see people who seem to be oblivious to what's going on around them!. I feel like I don't belong there!.
I make my way back to the classroom and H!.I!.M!. Haile Sellassie is standing there!. He says to me and a couple of other people that we should look around, and that we need to make a decision!. Do we want to be conscious people and live conscious lives!? (that's Rasta lingo for living a spiritually-oriented life) Or do we want to wander around, lost in a fog, wasting the life that God has given us!? He says that we need to decide now!.
Then we go back into the classroom where the calm and docile lions are!.
I wake up!.
It's my birthday!.
My mom is a Rasta!. I called her and told her my dream, and she told the whole world!.
also, this is not the first Haile Sellassie dream I have had, going back 15 years or so!. Same message, basicly, though!.
So!. If God came to you in a dream and said, "Live a spiritual life," but you just weren't sure if you felt like growing your locks now, etc!., what would you do!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

If God came to me in a dream and told me to live a spiritual life, I'd do my best to fulfill that request!. I believe in God, and although I'm not privy to all of the ways He works I would in no way take this lightly!. I think that this dream be a way for your conscious to make you aware of something you might need to do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If God came to me in a dream, and told me that I needed to change my life and become more spiritual, I wouldn't listen to it!. Not that I don't believe in God, because I'm one of the most spiritual people I know!. I love God with all my heart, but currently there is nothing more that I could do, due to personal reasons!. So if I were to dream that I should be more spiritual, I would just dismiss it as a dream because I couldn't do anything to fulfill it!. If my situation were to change then I would listen to the dream!.

I don't order my life based on the messages my subconscious gives me, even though those messages seem to have greater significance!. I really like the lions in your dream as they symbolic of Haile Sellassie as the Lion of Judah or the Ras Tafari!. Very consistent with the idea of the dream as vision!. Ultimately you must build your life on faith you can accept!. If you aren't ready for the spiritual process you are being offered, you must be true to yourself, not your subconscious!.
I hope your motives in hesitating are not superficial however because your subconscious sounds ready!. Maybe you are closer to a choice than you realize!.

One can have premonitions of things to come, so yes, I'd take heed if a strong impression is made on my thoughts, especially if it's done more than once!. However, I don't see what the outside has to do with the inner call to God, but perhaps I'm not so familiar with your religion so please excuse!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I have only recently come to really love and trust my God!. I have lived my life for years being so negative and crying out to him to ask him what I was suppose to be doing, and asking why things had to be so tough for me!. I just didn't understand why I couldn't just be happy!.
My first step to recovery was getting rid of the negativity!. I read that book The Secret, and it changed my life!. Yes, seriously! I also had a trusted friend that I poured my heart out to!. I let myself be vulnerable, I revealed all my hopes, dreams, fears, weaknesses, etc!.!.!.
BUT - in the last two months things changed once again, and for the better in my life!. One night I was laying in bed, praying, when I told God that I was going to surrender my life of "relationships" to him!. I have not had a BF in 3 years, and I don't date a lot!. So, there was still a part of me that worried about being alone in my future, and not having someone to share everything with!. So, I surrendered this part of me to him!. I told him I wanted to put it in his hands and not worry about it anymore!. I did not want it to consume me day in and day out!. And I told him I trusted that he would bring that person in my life when it was the right time!. And the really crazy thing was I woke up the next morning!.!.!. and my life was changed!. SERIOUSLY! I was not lonely anymore!. I did not worry about having a boyfriend, or any dates for that matter!.
So, to answer your question!.!.!.!. YES! If God told me that I needed to change anything in my life I would do it, because I have placed a lot of trust in him, and he has not forsaken me so far!. And I say this as a spiritual person, but not so much of a religious, bible toting person!. I am a Christian, believe in God, and know that - that part of my life is very important to me!. I think in time, I will grow to seek more knowledge and information on a religious level, but all in due time!.
